Wingate by Wyndham York

Our stay at the Wyndham would have been excellent, however, there were two things I felt needed to be commented on. One, the pool area was not fully operational. The hot tub was closed. Also, the pool looked old in poorly kept up. It is still functional and serves the purpose of swimming if you want that option in a hotel stay. Two, the breakfast is served starting at 7am. Unfortunately, the women at the front desk told me it began at 6am the evening before. This was an issue for us because we woke up expecting to have breakfast at 6am, so I could be at my daughter's volleyball tournament by 7:15am. The breakfast was excellent, but we did end up being late to her tournament because we waited until 7am to have the breakfast I had paid for when I looked at booking at this hotel. For those of you looking for a very nice hotel to stay at for a fairly reasonable price, this is a good hotel. Our personal experience, other than my comments about the pool area, don't reflect the overall condition of the hotel.

This hotel is a perfect safe place to stay while visiting York, Pa. Only a $7 Uber or Lift ride in and out of town. If you need to drive into town there are parking garages. Also if you have to "visit" the courthouse cell phones are NOT allowed. The rooms are clean and smell nice. The bathroom pretty good with plenty of water pressure for the shower. Breakfast was just ok with the usual eggs, ham, waffle, bagel, etc. I can't say enough about how the nice the staff was. Only problem was I requested a single King room but was assigned a two queen room. No biggie but I didn't press the issue either. We never got into the indoor pool but it didn't look that great either. Possibly because it looked heated and bubbly. People have complained on this platform about the hot tub being under construction.....well it was. So what! Why would you get into a hotel hot tub anyway??!! We will definitely be back this spring/summer for some downtown funnery.

The room was acceptable. The breakfast foods were not very good. The scrambled “eggs” and “ham” cubes were inedible “food.”

Have stayed here before. Room I booked wasn't ready so the front desk person gave me a comparable room. Room was clean & comfortable. Dove products always a plus in my book. Everything in room worked fine. Breakfast was okay. Coffee was pretty good.

The staff were very sweet but the property was a little…off. The hot tub was covered with plywood. No signs it was going to be working anytime soon. The pool was murky. There was something gross smeared on the back of our bathroom door. Small things that add up. Still, very convenient location for what we were doing and we felt safe.

It was a great stay, the room was in great condition and clean. Even had free breakfast. They have a pool, hotub was under construction, workout room and computers. It does smell like chlorine throughout the whole building though

So sad that when we got there the hot tub was under renovation, the only reason i chose this hotel was for the hot tub and couldn't even use it. Very disappointed
