What a gem of a hotel in the beautiful fishing village of Greetsiel. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel extremely welcome by all the staff. Our room in the Premium category was everything we expected and spotlessly clean, as was the whole hotel. The public areas, especially the gardens proved to be the perfect place for a sundowner and immaculately kept. Unfortunately our stay did not coincide with the hotel restaurant days, but the bar menu offered warm snacks as well as a selection of cakes. Breakfast was highly organized by the friendly staff who seemed to be on duty 24/7. A 10 minute stroll to the pretty fishing harbour which offers a varied selection of eateries. Bike hire is recommended to explore the surrounding areas of which we recommend the company Poppinga (€20 per day). The Lorenz family certainly have a beautiful hotel and also special thanks must go to Björn and Emelie for making our 3 night stay memorable.

Wir waren schon öfter im Hotel Achterum. Ankommen und sich wohlfühlen, so war es auch diesmal. Ein großer Dank dem gesamten Team! Sie machten die Tage wieder unvergesslich. Wir kommen bald wieder Nicht zu vergessen das Restaurant im Hotel Achterum, absolut weiter zu empfehlen!
