What a sad experience this was. From what used to be an amazing holiday destination years ago. Completely run down now and neglected. Completely different from what google images show. For starters they forgot the cot for our 9 month old. Then we check in and the cabin is so tiny, no room for a cot anyway. 2nd bed pushed up against broken window blinds and the front door. And directly under the heat pump. TV picked up only one channel. No cell phone reception at all throughout almost the entire location. The wifi that was included we couldn't even connect to. Went for dinner at the restaurant on the property. Food was overpriced and the chicken snitzel was the size of my fist, tiny! The pasta my partner ordered, no flavour at all. Cheeseburger for my 3yo, like cardboard. Asked staff when we ordered dinner if we needed to book in for buffet breakfast next day. They said no need. When we arrived 8am for breakfast next day, staff ignored us and 2 other couples when waiting at sign to be seated. After approaching then they went on to tell us there's no room and it will be a 45 minute wait... We went elsewhere. Spa bath in our cabin was missing jet covers, weird stains on bottom of the tub. Kids jumping pillow had been removed. Not even a playground there anymore for the kids. The pool... YUCK! merky water.. stained pool. Rusted door frames throughout. Algi growing around hot tub. Hot tub walls are yellow.. disgusting. Stagnant water in the outside water features that no longer run.. new target golf neglected, balls floating everywhere looks like they maybe gather them once a week.. went there expecting our kids to enjoy what we experienced 20+yrs ago as kids.. how disappointed we were!!

We have stayed at Grindlewald multiple times in the past as have many of my family have too, so we thought we would go back. To be honest, it used to be so well maintained and family friendly, the staff used to be chirpy and welcoming, it was just a place you wanted to be. Our stay this weekend though, there customer service was short and we felt like a hassle from the moment of check in, they couldn’t find our booking at first, they over booked the accommodation and my parents room has been given to someone else, so they had to wait for the staff to get those guests to pack up the room and leave, yes they were offered free bottle of wine and free breakfast on both days as an apology but stil. The bouncing pillow has been removed, not much for kids to do apart from the pool and a wooden ship to play on. . The staff tried to justify it by saying they are just busy with 3 wedding groups staying there, but at the end of the day, we were guests too. The breakfast buffet was full of people and food bays empty, people just stood in groups waiting for the food to arrive, but they just couldn’t keep up. The selection was not worth $29 a head, it was low quality over priced meal, do yourself a favour and go to the supermarket down the road or head somewhere else to eat breakfast.

Lovely staff, didn't meet an unfriendly one ever. Nice clean and good sized room, comfy queen mattress but the single was a bit soggy. Bathroom had a heater for chilly mornings, and the shower bath made it easy with little kids. The pool was heated and awesome, and open until late. The grounds were immaculate and well maintained. The cabins were very cute and the lodge itself had a quaint motel feel from an older time, but in a charming way. No elevator or dumbwaiter up to upper floor so be ready to carry your heavy bags, which is fine. This is one of those places where the staff make or break a place (simply because the place is 50 years old in parts) but the people have made it wonderful. Would definitely stay again.

Cabin overlooking golf course with a good view, a bit tired, quirky, excellent bed pillows, good facilities in room. Interesting shops bakery. Excellent breakfast and meals at restaurant. Exceptional value - very relaxing stay.

Not quite what we expected but a lovely little shopping square and resort in the Swiss style. Take a drive around Alpine crescent to see the Swiss style houses. Difficult to view Lake Louise at all due to houses and trees. Great atmosphere and resort for families

Run down terrible value for money all the activities are rough. Golf villa is nothing more than a tiny caravan with squeaky beds and toilet… better value for money in a caravan park…. Same style of accomodation and also with kids activities. Games room took all the tokens only 2 machine worked … no one seemed to care. No one seemed to care anywhere in the whole place really.
