Boutique Hotel Glacier

Our stay at the Boutique Hotel Glacier was an absolute dream. If you are searching for the perfect hideaway in the mountains this is the one! We had such a great time. We stayed in a signature room sunrise with a private whirlpool, it was perfect in every way. The view of this Hotel is spectacular. We could watch outside the window for forever. The whole service was so excellent and the staff incredibly obliging and friendly. The breakfast that is offered is really of high quality and absolutely fantastic. We loved our time at the Boutique Hotel Glacier. If you search for a discription of a perfect mountain hideaway. This is it for us. They have the most beautiful view and rooms. Thank you for these great days.

My wife and I along with another couple enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Glacier in late March 2024. Upon arrival we found an immaculately clean room with a wonderful view of the Eiger. The hotel is located a short walk from the bustling center of Gridelwald which added to the charm of our stay. As superb as the facility itself was, the staff was even better. In particular Monika, Christian, and Jonathan provided 5 star service to us in the restaurant and bar. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning.

I went for lunch again today at the Petit Glacier, the bistro-style restaurant that is part of the beautiful Hotel Glacier. You can enjoy your lunch at the Hotel Glacier with a fantastic view of the Eiger. I had the vegan burger. Like the meat version I tried recently, this burger also tastes extremely good. The chips served with it are nice and crispy. Be sure to order the profiteroles or the pain au chocolat for dessert. As always, the service is attentive and friendly. I'll definitely be back!

We visited Hotel Glacier for our summer holiday in August 2023 and it was fantastic. We were warmly greeted and given our room keys. We went up the lift to our room on the third floor: we paid a little extra to have a view of the Eiger and were so glad! It was so beautiful waking up to the view and sitting on the balcony looking out at it on an evening. The breakfast was delicious - we looked forward to it every day! They served hot breakfasts with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, rosti, a selection of fruits (dried and fresh), granola and yoghurts, breads and pastries and a self-service coffee/tea machine! The food at the hotel was excellent quality, too. We didn’t do the fine dining but did eat at the hotel lounge bar 4 times during our stay and every time was incredible and so tasty! The staff were wonderful and greeted everyone with respect. They were happy to recommend walks, talk to you about local things to do or recommend other restaurants. Our room was spacious and very well designed. It was cleaned every day to a high standard. We asked for some softer pillows as the ones we had were too firm for us and they were happy yo help. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Grindelwald. It is a 10 minute walk to Grindelwald Terminal and a 15 minute walk to Grindelwald village (but please note it is up a steep hill). A wonderful stay - thank you!

Stayed at the Glacier Express appartement and had the most wonderful time. The ski terminal was only a 5 min. walk whilst we had the view of the mountains. After a long ski day we could relax in the sun on the balcony or in the sauna of the apartment.

In early February 2024, we enjoyed staying at the Glacier Apartment. Everything was clean and neat. The best part was being able to walk to the ski lift in about 10 minutes. We also went to the spa at the Boutique Hotel Glacier one evening. I really suggest going there too!

Last week we stayed at the glacier apartment which was very big with a stunning view, also the apartment had 2 parking spots which was very convenient for our group of 6. Apartment was nice and clean, enough towels and bathrobes for every person staying.

The hotel is a small, but charming and really well executed hotel. We spent time with my fiance in asuite with the mounten views and the hot thub, and it was magical! The staff is kind and helpfull. The dining experience is not on the cheap side but totally worth it. I would recomend to come here for dinner even if you don’t stay at the hotel!

We recently spent 2 nights at Boutique Hotel Glacier and everything was so perfect from start to finish. If you're looking for the most romantic hotel in Switzerland, you definitely need to put this hotel on your bucket list! The Signature Rooms with the outdoor hot tubs are seriously a dream, we loved soaking in the hot water while taking in the stunning mountain scenery. The spa is absolutely incredible too and it's very well-equipped with a sauna, a relaxing area with waterbeds and a heated outdoor pool which was definitely the highlight. The food at the hotel was seriously on another level, the breakfast buffet was one of the best we've ever had and we also had dinner both nights at Petite Glacier which was an amazing experience. Next time we would definitely love to try the fine dining experience, it also sounds amazing! All in all, we had a really great time at the hotel and couldn't recommend it more.
