Maybe the best hotel in Grodno. The front desk auntie can speak fluent English.

I had booked a room by phone for a one day stay on Saturday. The booking was confirmed. On my arrival, the reception said there was no booking. Upon my insistence, the reception suddenly "discovered" that there was indeed a booking on my name. But they claimed it was for another day. So me and my girlfriend were left without a place to stay on a Saturday night in a city I don't know. Reception was also very rude. In short, maybe you can have a good stay in this hotel, but you should know that they might occasionally cancel your booking without telling you anything about it and saying it's your fault.

The hotels website isn’t very good when it comes to booking. You can’t simply click and book a room. After filling out the form & calling them to book, getting an email from them and confirming 190 BYN for the night. When I arrived the woman tried to charge me 360 BYN. The hotel itself is ok. Not great, not terrible, just ok. Located a little outside of the city centre of Grodno. The rooms are clean, a little bit dated interior with red carpets. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast included. Buffet breakfast, which was nice. Overall I would say 3 stars from 5.

Semashko isn't cheap nor too expensive. It is a typical small city hotel in Bielarus with no great panoramic view if you choose the ground or the first floor. But, the lower the floor with your room is the quieter is the surrounding. The hotel is amid a very lively district near the railway station and moreover there is a bazaar near it on Sunday. Sauna and a small pool is free and included into the proce of the accommodation. The hotel reastaurant works till 11 pm and I think it is better to walk to the city center Sovietskaya (former Vilenskaya) street and find a place there because there are plenty of places to eat out at a very reasonable price. Breakfast is served from 07 till 11.00 am (10 am on week days) but they say you can have it still till 11 am every day. Rooms are not spaceous but cozy. Please be careful: if you choose rooms 7-9 you will hear an ATM machine typical sounds like "click-click-click" all night long, so if you sleep with one eye open, you must change your room. How to the center of the city? Turn right, go straight on and turn left on the intersection and again go straight on. It will take you ten minutes to get as far as the Central Catheral.

Thank you for comfortable accommodation in Grodno. We did appreciate your delicious breakfasts. No comments about the service because it was OK. Just as it should be. Highly recommend this place. Not far from the Bus station and local market.
