Wow, what do I even say? I travelled here for business, around 2+ weeks. I initially only booked 5 days here whilst I attended the Canton Fair (it's about 20mins away via taxi). I checked out to move to a hotel in the Haizhu district, for hours I was checking for a suitable hotel, my main priority was hygiene. After experiencing the cleanliness and comfort of the mattresses, I turned back and decided to stay at this hotel for the rest of my journey, despite me needing to go to the Zhongda fabric market almost everyday. It was great meeting the owners - Ze and Effie, approachable, down to earth New Yorkers! Really excited about the bakery they are opening right near the hotel. The staff are great, whilst they may not speak English, they are patient when you are tapping away at your translator app, they helped me arrange SF Express deliveries, we're happy to collect and hold deliveries for me. Special shout out to Xiaoxi. As a Muslim, the breakfast is not halal, however there is a grocery store right near the hotel, and there is a halal restaurant within walking distance, about 10-15mins, and you can order via the ******* app from a halal restaurant that is super close as well, they'll deliver it right to your door. And Ze let me know the bakery will be using butter and not lard - so imagine the fresh bakery with a coffee from the canteen/dining area! Oh and the washing machine and dryers are brand new, state of the art, wonderful to use. As I said before - the rooms were super clean, have air purifers, no insects (a huge thing for me). It's literally a brand new place - which you won't find with most ”STAR” hotels. I've stayed in the Shangri La in Pazhou, and I will take this place hands down, comfy firm mattress, lovely heating smart toilet. It is slightly bare bones, but who needs all the faff, if you need a bowl, an adapter, add the front desk on wechat and message them, they'll help you whatever time. The picture I have uploaded is of a larger room I upgraded to after I made a new booking, if you want extra space, worth it.

This stay was fantastic! The room was clean, spacious, and the facilities were very comfortable; there was absolutely no feeling of confinement. The front desk service deserves special praise! The staff were incredibly welcoming and efficient, checking me in was super fast, and I didn't have to wait at all. They even proactively provided directions to the surrounding area, which was very thoughtful. The location is a huge plus! It's very close to the convention center, within walking distance, so I didn't have to rush to attend the exhibition, saving me a lot of trouble. The laundry room was a pleasant surprise; the washer-dryer combo was excellent, solving all my laundry needs while on business trips—super convenient. The breakfast was also worth mentioning; a wide variety of options and delicious food. A good breakfast gave me plenty of energy for the exhibition. Overall, I highly recommend it and will definitely choose this place again next time!

I had an amazing stay at this hotel — what truly stood out was the warmth and hospitality of the staff. From check-in to check-out, everyone went out of their way to make my trip smooth and comfortable, even though I faced a bit of a language barrier. A special mention to Bai Ya at the front desk — she was exceptionally kind, patient, and incredibly helpful. She not only assisted me with translations and local directions but also made sure I had everything I needed throughout my stay. Her genuine care and professionalism made a huge difference in my experience. The hotel itself was clean, well-maintained, and ideally located, but it’s the team’s dedication to guest comfort that makes it truly memorable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area — especially for the outstanding service and the friendly staff who make you feel right at home.
