Lanwan Hotel (Guangzhou Shamian Island Yongqingfang Branch)

This hotel is absolutely fantastic, right in the heart of Liwan District. The subway station is right outside the door, and Shamian Island is just across the street. There's a shopping mall nearby, and you can even walk to the Huangpu River for a boat tour. It's a moderate distance to both the airport and the train station, making it perfect for both business and leisure travelers. The hotel boasts very new and smart decor, along with a variety of thoughtful amenities. Most importantly, the staff are incredibly warm and proactive in their service. Many foreign and Hong Kong tourists love staying here, and it offers excellent value for money. Plus, their complimentary coffee in the lobby is truly delicious!

1. The bedding in the room was all torn. 2. The room was tiny, definitely not 20-22 square meters, more like a mere ten square meters. There wasn't even enough space for the sink inside the bathroom.

The ladies at the front desk were consistently warm, attentive, and efficient with check-in and check-out. They responded promptly to all my requests. The transportation is super convenient; there's a subway entrance right outside, providing direct access to all attractions. Parking is also a breeze with a free parking lot right at the entrance – no need to search for a spot! The value for money is exceptional, and I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit!

The location is absolutely amazing, within walking distance to Shamian Island and Yongqing Fang, and super close to Shangxiajiu for shopping, which made everything so convenient. The room was spotlessly clean upon arrival and incredibly comfortable to stay in – full marks for hygiene. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, making us feel very welcome. The breakfast offered a great variety, leaving us thoroughly satisfied. We had such a fantastic experience after the first night that we decided to extend our stay for another night. All in all, it offers excellent value for money, and I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Guangzhou!
