Mingji Hotel (Guangzhou Asian Games City) Reviews

We had a great stay at Mingji Hotel in the Asian Games City. The bed is super comfortable. Good variety of food choices for breakfast. There are many restaurants nearby. You can also find Pizza Hut, KFC, Luckin Coffee and Chagee.

Extremely satisfied! This was an excellent value-for-money experience. The room had high ceilings, making it feel very comfortable and spacious. The decor is quite modern, and all the amenities were excellent. The bathroom was also very spacious. The front desk staff kindly upgraded my room for free! Breakfast was also very good.

Nice hotel with good staff, but got a room with opaque windows. Nice diffuser at the lobby.

This is my fourth stay here. I usually opt for the twin beds, but this time I decided to try the spacious king-size bed. The bed was truly enormous. Access to and from the hotel was very convenient, and parking was easy. I was satisfied with every aspect.

I was genuinely surprised by the quality of the room for this price point. Many hotels in this price range nearby don't offer breakfast, and I always appreciate the convenience of having breakfast included. The breakfast was a standard Cantonese (Guangfu) style, light and very tasty. I thought my friend from Jiangxi might find it unfamiliar, but to my surprise, even he thought the breakfast was good. The shower in the room was fantastic! The only minor drawback was the limited parking spaces. Overall, it was a great stay! Definitely recommend!

The room was great and very clean. The shower had excellent water pressure and hot water. The front desk service was also fantastic; they offered a 2 PM late check-out. For those needing to stay a bit longer, hourly rooms were available, making the whole check-out process very convenient. Plus, there are several fast-food restaurants right downstairs. Highly recommend!

We booked two rooms, and both were excellent. I typically don't leave reviews, but I genuinely wanted to give this one a big thumbs-up.

The environment was generally decent, but the central air conditioning was incredibly hot 🥵. The thermostat felt completely fake; it showed the lowest possible setting, but it was still too warm to sleep. My friends, who were staying in another room, experienced the exact same issue and couldn't sleep either. Honestly, they'd be much better off just installing individual wall-mounted AC units like those you find in homes.
