The Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou

Got an upgraded room on a higher floor. The hotel facilities are clean and well-maintained. The service is exceptional, truly nothing to complain about. Both breakfast and dinner were quite good. There was even a lion dance performance on the first day of ***** New Year. They provide canned water in the rooms, which is a nice touch. The location is super convenient for walking to the museum, the riverside, and Canton Tower. The only minor issue is that the air conditioning was a bit too strong.

The hotel facilities are excellent. The view of Canton Tower at night is beautiful, and it's very close to the Pearl River night cruise. The hotel concierge even provided a stroller for our child. The service was fantastic! 👍👍👍

My requested birthday decorations were also arranged smoothly. The front desk staff who checked me in around noon on the 11th was incredibly warm and welcoming (though I forgot her name). She attentively addressed my room requests. By the way, the concierge was also very dedicated. Although my room key failed twice, and the wait to get new ones slightly delayed my schedule, the duty manager was understanding and offered solutions. (However, I must strongly criticize the attitude of the front desk staff member who answered my second call when my key failed again – it wasn't the original person, and her demeanor was extremely rude and cold.) 3. **Breakfast:** While the selection was small, the taste was quite good. 4. **Housekeeping:** The male staff member who cleaned the room was very meticulous. 5. **Decor:** It's the classic Ritz style, but because the hotel is a bit older, the wooden floors sometimes creak. However, the facilities are consistently updated, which you can tell by the Toto toilets. The toiletries were Diptyque, and the water was Voss. Overall, I'm grateful to the Ritz for giving my friend and me a wonderful birthday memory! We were very happy! 🥳

Breakfast downstairs was especially unappetizing. 3. The service was distantly enthusiastic. I left the next day and saw on Xiaohongshu that you could get a card engraved! 😡😡😡😡 🦁 didn't give it to me, didn't upgrade my room. 4. Best toilet ever! The mirror in the middle is heated and doesn't fog up! They say you look better when you shower, so to admire myself, I took 3 showers ❤️ The bathtub wasn't cleaned properly, but I'm kind-hearted and didn't pursue it.

The room decor is a bit dated, haha. The executive lounge food was just okay, but overall, the service attitude was good, and the Lixuan restaurant on the third floor was also delicious.

I must particularly commend the Guest Relations team. Throughout my stay, they were professional, attentive, and incredibly responsive, proactively considering my itinerary and preferences. Any issues were promptly and expertly resolved, providing a personalized experience that exceeded expectations with their sincerity and respect. This wasn't just a stay; it was an unforgettable journey where I felt truly cared for. It's truly a benchmark for luxury hotels, deserving of endless return visits and recommendations.
