The front desk upgraded us to a room with a window. While the room was a bit small, it was impeccably clean, and the public areas were equally spotless. This was a huge plus, as in many hotels, unkempt common areas make you question whether the rooms are truly pest-free. The hotel is conveniently located about 600 meters from the metro station, with plenty of dining options nearby. They also offer self-service washing machines and dryers. The only minor drawback was the limited number of power outlets; there was just one by the bed.

Having stayed in numerous hotels, this budget hotel truly surprised me. Its location is superb: a bus stop is right at the doorstep, and the subway station is also nearby, making it incredibly convenient to get anywhere. Downstairs and in the surrounding streets, there's an abundance of delicious food; you can find authentic local signature dishes and specialty snacks, and they taste incredibly genuine. The rooms are clean and tidy, ensuring a comfortable stay. I'll definitely choose this place again for my next trip!

I must give a shoutout to this hotel! It offers excellent value for money and is very friendly to students and working people. The transportation is extremely convenient, with many bus routes at the door and a subway station nearby. What's even better is that there are numerous local specialties hidden around the area. Just a casual stroll will lead you to discover hidden gems. It's so much fun to explore and eat at the same time. I highly recommend it to everyone!

## Facilities Though compact, this place is fully equipped. The front desk on the ground floor features waiting chairs, lockers, and a self-service mini-mart fridge. There's also a laundry room with a washer and dryer. In the room, the AC cools effectively, the shower has good water pressure, and the temperature is easy to adjust without sudden hot or cold fluctuations. ## Cleanliness As a frequent solo traveler, I often anticipate less-than-spotless environments and usually bring my own lint roller and wet wipes. However, I was genuinely impressed by the cleanliness here. Unlike some common issues in Guangzhou's old town, there were no cigarette butts, ash, mosquitos, or cockroaches. The bedding was also spotless and didn't cause any itching. ## Environment & Location If you're eager to soak in the authentic atmosphere of Guangzhou's old town, this place is an absolute gem. It's nestled amidst local residences, where the potted plants outside each home vividly showcase the subtropical evergreen vitality. The small local shops selling tea cakes, soup ingredients, and traditional leather sandals really set the mood. Wander a bit further, and you'll discover quaint secondhand bookstores and antique furniture shops. Being very close to a wet market, it's ideal for backpackers and artists looking to deeply experience the 'Old Canton' charm and capture its essence. The dining options around here are superb thanks to its prime location. Yangtao Plaza, just nearby, pretty much covers all the Cantonese dishes I wanted to try. I highly recommend Hakka Ban, and 'Yue Chen Ji' is an absolute must-try! If time allows, treat yourself to a leisurely tea and dim sum session at a local teahouse. Plus, there are tons of delivery options available, with short distances, and they even deliver right to your room, which is incredibly convenient. The hotel is also very close to Gongyuanqian (Park Front) station, and Beijing Road is easily accessible. If you're looking for things to do, you can head to Beijing Road for entertainment, like Dongxing, which is highly praised by young people. A small note: the road outside is currently under renovation, so individuals sensitive to construction noise might want to consider this. Personally, I'm not easily bothered by ambient noise, so it didn't impact my stay or rating whatsoever. ## Service The service was truly what compelled me to enthusiastically leave a positive review this time. Both the front desk and customer service staff were incredibly patient and meticulous in their assistance. For a solo female traveler, the service felt exceptionally thoughtful and reassuring. They kindly upgraded me to a queen-size room with a window. Any necessities I needed, like tissues, trash bags, a hairdryer, or a power strip, could be requested simply by messaging the staff via WeChat. If any facility issues arose, staff would be there to fix it within half an hour of my report. When I checked out, the front desk lady even noticed I was a solo female struggling with a large suitcase and helped me open the door, which was a lovely gesture, haha. Guangzhou is a city of intriguing contrasts – both slow-paced and incredibly trendy. In areas like Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, you experience the everyday essentials of local life, while just around Gongyuanqian, you'll see a constant stream of diverse cosplayers and trendsetters. This juxtaposition is something I never tire of observing, even after many visits. For its price point, this hotel truly elevated my experience of observing these various facets of human life, ensuring it was far from basic. I believe it was a highly commendable stay.

I was very satisfied with my stay here, especially the incredibly convenient location. It's super close to the metro station, just an 8-9 minute walk to the hotel at a regular pace. The surrounding area is also very lively with plenty of interesting places to explore, and attractions like Yongqingfang and Liwan Lake are both very close by. The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff were attentive and provided excellent service. A washing machine is also provided, and food delivery can be brought right to your room. That's fantastic!

Convenient location, close to science park. Many shops around. Toilet was clean but had some smell coming out which wasn't bad but just smelled like a running tap water. Maintenance can be better.

It's location is great, very near to a mall and a metro station, as well as cool landmarks like the Chen Clan Temple or a commemorative park. The service was great and I had no problems with the air conditioning (a must in GuangZhou🙏). If you come to Guangzhou from the train station I suggest you take the metro to come to the hotel - use AMAP and you won't have any problems moving around.

Great place stayed again. Close to a Michelin recognised place for breakfast. Pure cantonese culture experience.

The place is very convenient; at the heart of the old town, yet it’s quite from the outside noise. since it’s an old building so the amenities are also a bit running down. But their servitude were great and solve the issues we encountered quickly. I do recommend this place as it’s so convenient to the good food ( for the locals) and easy access to tourist spots. It’s within the old town where one can truly feel and experience Guangzhou people’s daily live.

Location was good perfect, but a few experiences really made my stay terrible: 1). The bathroom made my whole room smell like sewage 2). I lost my clothing while washing them and the staff try to brush it off like it is not a big deal, which is truly sad.

The Room was clean and location were easy to access. Recommended in this price.
