"This time, I checked in because of an accident. I had a two-day meeting at Sanyu Hotel, and the conference arranged accommodation. As a result, the smart parking garage broke down when I was leaving. The reply I received at the time was that I didn't know when it would be repaired. I was quite speechless and thought I was unlucky. I had to pay for an extra night. I originally wanted to hold the hotel responsible, but because of an enthusiastic employee on the scene, he apologized again and again and sent me to the front desk to check in and sent me to the room. The next day, he also helped me pick up the car and move the luggage. After thinking about it, it's not easy now, so let's not embarrass each other. The facilities and hygiene of the old hotel are not cost-effective, but the service quality of the employees can indeed make up for a lot. In the future, I hope to repair the hardware in time to avoid similar incidents. In fact, the garage was repaired in about two hours, which means I stayed for one night in vain, but in view of the enthusiastic service of Mr. Wang Yux, I will not pursue it."

"The Sheraton in Tianhe is our go to hotel every time we are in Guangzhou. You are at the heart of the Tianhe District and there is food and entertainment surrounding you all within walking distance.
Our kids love the pool of this property and the gym is big enough for a proper workout. Would be good if they invested in heavier weights and added some yoga mats in the stretching room.
Checkin was efficient and they gave us a high floor room and late checked out as requested.
Looking forward to our next stay again soon."

"The service was incredibly warm and attentive; they even reached out a day in advance. The staff were always on hand to assist guests. Since our original room was undergoing maintenance, they promptly upgraded us to a suite and thoughtfully allowed us to choose from available options. The room offered a direct view of the Canton Tower, which, despite the poor weather, was still beautifully visible, albeit partially obscured. The Executive Lounge also provided a generous selection of food and beverages. The high-altitude night view was uniquely breathtaking. We made sure to visit the popular infinity pool; the water quality was excellent, and the children absolutely loved it. Overall, a truly satisfying stay."

"We came on a vacation with our families and booked 3 rooms in total. As we decided to choose the stay and dine option on selected nights to indulge in the restaurants within the hotel，we ended having to make multiple booking separately and in different category rooms. As such it was rather troublesome when we need to switch around the rooms on different dates. However, thanks to Ms Gillian from the front desk who was really accomodating and kind to give us an upgrade basis on our highest paid room booking type and allowed us to keep the same room type throughout our 5 nights at the hotel. The suite room was huge and on level 25th floor with a good view. It was very comfortable and we ended up coming back early some nights to chill in the hotel room with our families. It was an extremely pleasure stay which we highly recommend."

"Great location for shopping and dining. The room was spacious, very comfortable, and offered nice views. The swimming pool was a great bonus, and early mornings it was completely empty.
On the downside, the hotel sits in a very crowded area, and both the entrance and lobby often feel busy, giving off more of a budget resort vibe. Service was just average — for instance, we arrived more than two hours past the official check-in time after a long flight, yet our room still took another hour to be ready. No alternatives or compensation were offered, which was disappointing."

"A historic gem with an antique charm and timeless five-star quality. The sheer scale of the hotel, with its expansive grounds and gardens, truly sets it apart from contemporary five-star establishments. Every piece of furniture and decor reflects a rich history and heritage; indeed, much of the hotel's furnishings are adorned with natural marble and precious woods. The gilded 'Dong Fang Hotel' signboard itself carries a prestige that not every visitor might fully appreciate.
The rooms are exceptionally spacious, and the bathrooms are generously sized. The carpets throughout are also among the best maintained I've encountered in any four or five-star hotel I've stayed in. The curtains are fresh and clean, and the room's arrangement is aesthetically pleasing. My stay here was simply wonderful. As my work requires me to stay connected and up-to-date with the outside world, I found all my informational needs met here.
With the hotel's own restaurants, you'll have no need to venture out for meals. The fitness center, outdoor gardens, and swimming pool offer perfect opportunities for body and mind relaxation.
Guests can also visit the nearby Beiyuan Restaurant for an authentic 'Old Guangzhou' tea experience. On weekends, Yuntai Garden is a great option, followed by a leisurely cable car ride up Baiyun Mountain for some fresh air and a walk. On the way down, be sure to try Shahe noodles, a local dish of intangible cultural heritage.
Lastly, every member of the hotel staff was incredibly polite and courteous."

"I had some business in the area and needed a hotel, so I opted for this five-star property. I requested a non-smoking room, and it was clean and odor-free. While the amenities were a bit dated, they were impeccably clean and met my expectations. I was assigned a high-floor room facing the street. Despite the location, it was surprisingly quiet, and I slept very well. There was no bellhop service for luggage upon arrival. The room also featured a bathtub."

"I cannot say enough how great the stay at the Asia International Hotel. I arrived in a panic because I was 40RMB short for my long hour and a half taxi ride, but the concierge Ricky came out to the taxi and paid the remainder from his very own money. I was then able to exchange Australian dollars for Chinese RMB and pay Ricky back. Things like this do not happen. The whole staff were amazing and ever so helpful. I only stayed 1 night but the breakfast was absolutely so extensive and so enjoyable in the restaurant on the 45th floor where you could view a 360 view of the whole of Guangzhou. We will definitely be staying at the Asia International Hotel the next time we are in Guangzhou. Thank you so very much."

GGuest UserThe hotel's air conditioning was excellent, keeping the room perfectly cool. The room facilities were quite new, and the cleanliness was top-notch. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and professional, handling check-in and invoice processing very quickly. My room came with a minibar and pour-over coffee, which, as a coffee lover, I really appreciated! The housekeeping staff were also very good. The AC worked effectively, the room had no unpleasant odors, and there was always ample hot water. The restaurant was decent and had a terrace, which was convenient for sun-drying clothes.
While it's about 1km from the subway station, the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service there, which is very convenient. It's also super easy to get to the airport from here – just book it in advance. Overall, excellent value for money. I highly recommend it!

For guests who appreciate luxury accommodations, this Rosewood property is an excellent choice. Our stay experience revealed that while its prime location, breathtaking views, avant-garde design, and opulent furnishings are certainly noteworthy, what truly deserves commendation is the hotel's meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to service excellence.
To give a few examples, let's start with the food quality. At Patina Garden restaurant, the breakfast selection might not be vast, but every single dish offered is a masterpiece. Highlights include handmade shrimp dumplings (har gow) and siu mai, generously filled with whole large shrimp; exceptionally sweet pomelos, honey pomelos, mangoes, and jackfruit; and French crêpes and waffles, rich in milky and eggy flavors, perfectly golden and crispy.
Another example of their dedication: after we offered a small suggestion to the restaurant on our first day, the breakfast offerings were promptly adjusted the following morning. This proactive response, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement, truly speaks volumes about the hotel's exceptional efficiency and genuine attentiveness to guest feedback. Furthermore, both the front office and housekeeping teams consistently strive to anticipate and meet guests' needs, tailoring details when cleaning and arranging rooms according to individual preferences.
A special thank you to the hotel management and service team for the exceptional care and hospitality shown to my family and me during our stay. This includes the following staff members whose names I remember, along with many others whose names I regrettably cannot recall: Yuki (Director of Housekeeping), Angelia (Assistant Front Office Manager), Freddie (Duty Manager), Celin (Manager of Patina Garden Restaurant), Minnie (intern), and many more. The Rosewood Guangzhou, absolutely worth revisiting!

The apartment was clean, modern, and well-equipped with everything we needed, including fast Wi-Fi, a comfortable bed, and a functional kitchen. The host was responsive and helpful, providing clear check-in instructions.
Highly recommended for travelers who want convenience, comfort, and a true Guangzhou experience! Will definitely stay here again.

Our stay at this hotel was truly exceptional. The hotel is impeccably clean, and the rooms are modern and well-maintained. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious, offering a wide variety of options. We particularly loved the heated swimming pool, which was also very clean and well-maintained.

Juan (娟) from the front desk, who went out of her way to help us use the mobile app and use it to book a taxi for the first time.
Leslie (健仔) from the lobby, who was very friendly and provided us with excellent advice on what to see in the city.
Seto (司徒師傅) from the restaurant, who was also very friendly and gave us great recommendations on the best places to eat in the city.
The only downside is that the hotel is a bit far from the subway (about a 10-15 minute walk), and the road can be a little quiet at night. However, this wasn't a problem for us once we learned how to use the mobile app for taxis, which are very affordable in the city.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this hotel!

GGuest UserIt's really close to the metro station. The hotel is gigantic, which is a bad thing. It takes a long time to get to the reception or the pool. There was a construction site right outside my window, and at 11:30 p.m., the excavator workers started blowing their whistles. I had to go to the reception to ask for a different room. The staff gave me a different room. The breakfast food was delicious, and there was a good selection. However, I probably won't stay here again.

SsiddharthThe location of the hotel is excellent—just a 2-3 minute walk from the metro station, with several restaurants less than a minute away. To get to Canton Tower, head to the Guangzhou East Railway Station metro station and take the train toward Tiyu Xilu. Some trains go directly to Canton Tower, while others require you to transfer at Tiyu Xilu. Fortunately, the transfer is usually on the same platform, so there's minimal walking involved. Just make sure to listen carefully to the announcements on the train.
One thing to note is that the hotel is labeled as “Liz Hotel” from the outside, which was a bit confusing at first.
The hotel offers free late-night noodles, which is a great perk after a long day of sightseeing. The room was spacious and comfortable, though the window view wasn’t great. Self-service laundry room was great.
Another plus is the proximity to Guangzhou East Railway Station (literally 1-2 minute walk away), which makes it very convenient if you’re planning to travel to Shenzhen by train. Also, sightseeing buses are available near the Canton Tower area.
Cons: The breakfast was underwhelming, so don’t expect much. Additionally, there were mosquitoes in the dining area, so it’s a good idea to wear full-length pants and closed shoes to avoid getting bitten.

FFrancesco C. - ITAI have to admit that the hotel is very convenient, as it’s located very close to Nanzhou metro station. The room I stayed in was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. Unfortunately, China has yet to implement a no-smoking law for hotels, and many of the rooms in this property are designated for smokers. Although my room was spotless and odor-free, the corridors often smelled of cigarette smoke due to other guests leaving their doors open for reasons I couldn’t understand. While this is allowed in China and not necessarily a fault of the hotel, I do hope regulations will change soon.
As for the room, I did have some concerns about the soundproofing—traffic noise and construction sounds from a building site across the street were quite noticeable.
One important point to mention: I didn’t find any staff at the reception who spoke English. While it’s true that today we have many tools for real-time translation, I believe that in a modern hotel catering to international guests, having at least one English-speaking staff member at the front desk should be a basic requirement. It’s essential for getting local advice on restaurants, amenities, directions, and more.
Another small note from a European perspective: breakfast was entirely traditional Cantonese, with no international options available—only some fruit. Also, the food items were not labeled in any other language, which might be confusing for some guests.
Overall, my experience was very positive, and I believe this hotel has great potential for improvement in the future.
Would I stay here again? Yes.

GGuest UserIts quite hard to find the location, and also the host never tell us where is the receptionist or meeting point to get the host. So we do everything by ourself and it quite takes time since we arrive at midnight.

GGuest UserI believe this hotel use to be very good and popular with its brand name. But now it is old and needs to be renovated. It smells as it was fully smoking allowed hotel.
It is clean, the towels almost as a new. Nice shampoo in the bathroom.
The location is a bit far from a nearest subway and there is almost nothing around except Starbucks.
There is nice view to the river if you lucky to get room in that side.
The breakfast is limited but worth the price.
