Pearl Gallery Hotel Guiyang

This was our second stay at this hotel. Last time, it was the Alber under the French Paris Hotel Group, but it has since been rebranded as the Chinese-owned “Zhenper” and is now one of the seven members of The Leading Hotels of the World in China. Our recent stay provided us with a wonderful experience. First and foremost, its location is excellent. Situated in Guiyang's Guanshanhu District, it's very close to Guiyang North Station and the airport, making it easily accessible. A taxi ride to the Guizhou Provincial Museum is just the starting fare. Downstairs from the hotel is the Ayunduo Warehouse Art District, where popular Instagrammable spots like Du's and Captain George's Cafe are located. There's also the "Gaoshan Class 3"网红 (internet-famous) tea shop, local Guizhou cuisine, Yunnan cuisine, pizzerias, bakeries, and a unique handmade cultural and creative market. Essentially, what others travel far to experience and check-in for, Zhenper guests can enjoy daily, strolling around countless times, relaxing, eating, and drinking in their own community. If a restaurant is hard to get a table at, you can pick up a dinner number at noon, then comfortably relax in your room or hit the gym in the evening. When the restaurant calls, you just head downstairs – pure bliss! The hotel's design is exceptionally artistic. In the lobby on the first floor, one wall is adorned with Impressionist paintings, while the transparent glass window on the opposite wall reflects the green trees outside – simply beautiful. There's an art exhibition space outside the lobby on the twentieth floor, and during our stay, local Guizhou batik handicrafts were on display. The room amenities were incredibly comfortable. This time, we stayed in the Zhenper Suite, nearly 80 square meters, featuring a spacious living room, bedroom, and walk-in closet. The bathroom, with its black and white patterned tiles, felt both modern and vintage. All the details were wonderfully designed: despite its large size, the room didn't feel empty. My favorite was the sofa lounger in front of the living room's floor-to-ceiling window. The coffee table was daily filled with an array of nuts, fruits, desserts, red wine, and other suite amenities. The bathroom toiletries were the same as those found in Four Seasons hotels, and mouthwash was thoughtfully provided. The velvet slippers were exceptionally comfortable. The night light design deserves special mention. When you turn on the night light switch in the middle of the night, the floor light in the toilet room connected to the bedroom illuminates, meeting your needs for nighttime lighting without disturbing the other person's sleep. This detail, for someone as sensitive to light at night as I am, was the most satisfying. The gym is also not to be missed. While it doesn't have a vast array of equipment, it meets basic needs. Especially in Guiyang, where you're constantly indulging in various delicious foods, a 24-hour fitness center provides a great sense of security. The hotel's restaurant cuisine is also worth trying. Suite privileges include a daily French double dinner; the veal and mushroom chicken soup were particularly delicious, and the desserts were artistic and exquisite. The hotel's Jinsha Bakery on the first floor is fantastic. Any healthy bread you enjoy at breakfast can be purchased at the bakery. I even bought some to give to friends, and the bakery manager arranged for SF Express delivery. However, I believe the patient, meticulous, and thoughtful private butler service is the true soul of this hotel. Butlers Sue and Tina began communicating with me several days before check-in, inquiring about my preferences and requirements. During our stay, I felt there was no need to use the room phone, as Tina was always responsive on WeChat. Especially after breakfast on the second day, hotel manager Gina was already waiting for me at the restaurant entrance. She accompanied us back to our room, listened to my needs and suggestions on-site, and when we returned to the room after going out, I found she had already made adjustments according to my preferences. It truly felt like coming home, which was incredibly touching. I believe no hotel in the world can satisfy all guests' needs, and this isn't necessarily a drawback. On the contrary, when a hotel has the ability to efficiently solve problems and improve things to the greatest extent possible within its scope, it's an absolute plus. Zhenper is a hotel with that added strength. The next time I visit Guiyang, I will undoubtedly choose it again.

The location is fantastic, right downstairs there's an area designed like Beijing's Sanlitun, perfect for young people to eat, drink, and have fun. The room layout is well-planned with convenient分区 (separate areas). The cleanliness is also good. The service is the best, they really pay attention to the details. Upon arrival, there's a welcome ceremony at the entrance, then soon after entering the room, they bring fruit, then bread and pastries – I wasn't going to eat them but they were surprisingly delicious. A little later, they come to do turndown service and provide facial masks, and in the evening, they bring iced soy milk. It was simply too thoughtful. We had a lot of luggage, and the young man who helped with the bags and parking provided excellent service. The young lady at the entrance was also great, and everyone from the front desk staff, turndown service attendants, to the restaurant staff were all very warm and attentive. You could truly call this a high-end hotel. The hotel entrance design is also excellent, with hidden double doors, executing understated luxury perfectly.

Guiyang Zhenpo Hotel is a must-stay when visiting Guiyang. Upon arrival, staff opened the car door and helped with luggage. The ribbon-tying and welcome drink ceremony were a lovely touch. Check-in on the 20th floor was quick and efficient; we were offered hot towels and pear juice while seated. Our room on the 25th floor was quiet and undisturbed. The small desserts and evening drink were a delightful surprise. I'll definitely stay at Zhenpo again on my next trip to Guiyang.

This was my second stay at Zunbo, and the service was excellent. Every staff member greeted me proactively, and their response time was quick. I specifically came for the Changwang noodles, and the location is great, right next to Ayunduo Warehouse. There's also a bar on the 25th floor with good decor, music, and delicious cocktails.

Having stayed at numerous high-end resort hotels, I can honestly say the service here far surpasses many of the big-name resorts in Sanya. What impressed me most during my stay wasn't just the facilities or the artistic ambiance, but the service-oriented mindset of every single staff member. No matter their role, when a guest had a request, big or small, there was no buck-passing or delays. Instead, they immediately and quickly provided workable solutions. My husband and I were even discussing how their approach to problem-solving gave us new insights into our own work. Truly excellent service isn't about rigid procedures and scripts; it's about proactively finding solutions when issues arise and genuinely prioritizing the small needs of the customer. The entire stay was comfortable and rejuvenating, with thoughtful details evident everywhere. The next time I visit Guiyang, I will undoubtedly choose Zhenbo again. I sincerely recommend it to anyone traveling to Guiyang.

Great location, very chic. You can get delicious coffee downstairs. Compared to other hotels in Guizhou, this one feels top-tier. Although the room rate is high, there are many added values like complimentary afternoon tea, red wine, lots of water, and fruits. You can request any disposable toiletries you need. The hotel has a very generous layout, unlike others that might be stingy. Next time I'm in Guiyang, I'll definitely stay here again.

Out of my seven-day trip to Guizhou, the only thing that truly left a deep impression and earned a rave review was this unexpectedly amazing hotel. It's a testament to understated luxury, an almost reclusive gem among luxury hotels, from its design to its overall style. It's a shame this brand only has a location in Guiyang. But perhaps that's exactly why I'd want to visit Guiyang again. The hotel's food was exquisite, and the service was an industry benchmark. My private butler, Annie, in particular, was incredibly warm and attentive, surprising me constantly with afternoon tea, cooling drinks, a variety of fruits, cocktails, bubble baths, and even a farewell gift. When I checked out, they even arranged a business car for my departure. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Annie again, and also the creators of the Zhenpo Hotel, for letting me genuinely experience the understated elegance and poise that a luxury hotel should embody.

Before check-in, the concierge confirmed my details and, considering we were a family of four, upgraded us for free to a larger king room and added an extra bed at no charge. After we checked in, the room was cleaned twice daily, and every evening, we received complimentary drinks like plum juice and jasmine soy milk – something different every night! The daily fruit, as well as all the drinks and chocolates in the minibar, were constantly replenished, and there was an endless supply of VOSS water. To receive such meticulous and thoughtful service during the peak summer travel season is truly exceptional. The staff were all young, very dedicated, and responsible. On the other hand, the hotel's decor was a bit underwhelming, perhaps because my expectations were too high. There's also no swimming pool, and retrieving your car requires waiting for staff to drive it from the underground garage to the hotel entrance. You need a bit of patience, but you can tell the staff are doing their best to be as quick as possible. Oh, and the A Duo Yun Cang at the entrance – besides the food, there isn't much else to browse. The Captain George coffee beans used for the hotel breakfast are also sold here, and the menu is different from other Captain George locations, definitely worth trying. This hotel is a 20-30 minute drive to Yunyan District. The surrounding environment is different from the noisy and cluttered old city. For seasoned foodies, hotels in the old city area might be more suitable (as they are surrounded by long-standing local eateries).

I came to Guiyang for Zhou Shen and stayed at the Zhenpo Hotel, which I had wanted to try for a long time. I'm very satisfied with the room; it's clean, tidy, and comfortable. Our butler, Annie, was thoughtful and lovely, and all the staff members were incredibly kind and wonderful. The hotel is very considerate; the rice wine upon arrival was sweet, and the Miao brocade ribbon was exquisite. The breakfast was delicious, featuring local Guiyang specialties, and the 11 PM mini hotpot was unique and offered a superb experience. Thank you, Zhenpo, for your hospitality, and thanks to Annie and all the hotel staff for their dedication. I will definitely choose Zhenpo again next time.
