Hotels in Jiaxiulou Area, Guiyang

I traveled to Guizhou with my child this week and stayed at several hotels in different cities. This one was an absolute surprise and even better than some of the branded five-star hotels. The location is unbeatable, right opposite Wenchang Pavilion, which you can see from your room. Downstairs, there's a bustling commercial area with plenty of options for dining and shopping. It's also an easy walk to Jiaxiu Tower. We visited during the off-peak season, but every time we took a taxi past Pen Shui Chi (Fountain Pool), there was some traffic. Compared to Pen Shui Chi, the traffic here is much better. The entire hotel's design and facilities are very new, and all the thoughtful details make for an excellent experience. The soundproofing, smart toilet, shower pressure, cleanliness, and breakfast were all fantastic. If I had to point out a flaw, it would be the check-in time at the front desk. At all the other hotels, check-in took only 1 or 2 minutes, but here it took a while. When checking out, we had to wait for other guests to check in, and it took a long time for them to finish as well. Next time I visit Guiyang, I will definitely stay here without hesitation.

Guiyang is my last destination before I flew back to Singapore. From Libo station, I took the high-speed train to Guiyang train station (not Guiyangbei). The escalator down to the metro station is located just outside the Guiyang Railway Station. So, it is very convenient when you are traveling back from other parts of Guizhou to Guiyang. The reason why I book this hotel is because of her centralized location in Guiyang city and her close proximity to the metro system. The nearest metro station to the hotel is Zhongshan West station. It is a 7-min walk from the metro station to the hotel. On the second day, I also took the metro train to Guiyang coach station for a daytrip to Pingba Cherry Blossom Park (平坝 樱花园) and Qianlingshan Park (黔灵山公园), the day before my departure. It is about 15-min walk to Jiaxiu Tower (甲秀楼) the landmark of Guiyang. It is also a short walk to Minsheng Road Food Street (民生路) and Cao Zhuang Yuan Pedestrian Street (Scholar Street). I also discovered a lot of cheap and good food and hidden gems at the food court cum shopping alley at the under walkway near the hotel. I bought a winter jacket for only RMB 50/-. There are a lot to discover in Guiyang but sadly, I only spent 3 days and 2 nights in this big city. Maybe should stay for 7 Days.

Excellent, excellent, excellent! The front desk staff were also wonderful with superb service. The room was incredibly comfortable, clean, and hygienic. The breakfast was delicious too, especially the Guizhou specialty, Cuisao! Waking up to such a great experience really puts you in a good mood.

The hotel room was clean and well-maintained, with excellent facilities. The breakfast was plentiful, and the location offered convenient access to various attractions like Wenchang Pavilion, Jiaxiu Tower, Pen Shui Chi, Qingyun Market, and Qianling Mountain Park. The hotel staff were professional, incredibly warm, and courteous. Upon arrival, they upgraded us to a family room. When we checked out, we were rushing for our flight and accidentally left my glasses in the room. Luckily, the hotel staff promptly contacted us and even couriered the glasses to us that very afternoon, allowing us to use them without delay. A huge thank you to them! 🙏🙏🙏

The rooms were well-equipped, clean, and quite new. We were traveling with seniors and children, so I asked the front desk staff for three adjoining, quiet rooms. To my delight, the front desk attendant upgraded our rooms, which was a very pleasant surprise. The curtains, lights, and other room features were all controlled by smart voice commands, which was incredibly convenient. What I was especially happy with was how soundproof all three rooms were; they were incredibly quiet, and we couldn't hear any outside noise at all. There's also a local restaurant right across the street downstairs that served some pretty good food. Plus, it's very close to Metro Line 1, making it easy to get anywhere. I'll definitely choose City Comfort Inn again on my next visit.

Hotel location is very good, next to 100 meters is Minsheng Road, next to 50 meters there is a 12-year-old small flat powder, Qingyun Market is also a 20-step walk! Gospel of food! The hotel environment is also very good, although the car is outside the downtown area, but the sound insulation is very good, the room facing the residential building basically can not hear the noise outside, in general, it is very much more than expected, recommended

The hotel boasts an excellent location with convenient transportation, right next to Jiaxiu Tower, offering superb night views. Although it's been open for nearly ten years, all facilities and equipment are well-maintained. The service level is high, with all staff providing smiling and polite service. Janice from Guest Relations left a deep impression on me. Two days before check-in, she called to inquire about my approximate arrival time and added me on WeChat. Immediately after check-in, she sent me a travel guide and check-in instructions. During my stay, she frequently checked in on me, asked about my needs, provided weather forecasts, reminded me to bring an umbrella, and went out of her way to fulfill my requests. Even though we never met in person, when I checked out on the 55th floor, she accurately addressed me by my surname amidst the crowd at the elevator entrance, demonstrating strong professionalism and solid training. Lisa from the Executive Lounge was also very enthusiastic. The hotel breakfast was decent, but the Executive Lounge's Happy Hour offerings were excellent. Besides cold dishes and salads, there were four main hot dishes (chicken, duck, fish, and meat) every night, plus one vegetable, one staple, one soup, and one congee. The French pastries in the lounge were of a very high standard, and they also offered freshly mixed cocktails. The driveway at the hotel entrance is narrow, but the concierge staff calmly managed vehicle flow, loading and unloading luggage efficiently and without chaos. The hotel pays attention to service details; for example, there's a reminder at the guest room door to prevent guests from leaving items behind. I have two suggestions: firstly, for some reason, I couldn't find a night light in the guest room. This should be added during the next renovation to avoid disturbing others with bright lights when getting up at night. Secondly, there were too few hangers in the guest room.

It is recommended that you find the hotel's contact information directly in the order, do not call the virtual number provided by the platform, the boss can not pick up. I just called several virtual numbers, and no one answered them. At that time, I was angry. Later, I saw the boss and used the virtual number to call in person. The boss’s mobile phone didn’t ring at all. I called the hotel in the order and it was through. In addition to this episode, the others are very satisfied. The room is large, the air conditioning is cool, the lobby is clean and tidy, the refrigerator and washing machine are available, and there is also a large balcony for drying clothes.

Hotel management is very good, you need to swipe the elevator card to go upstairs, I feel very safe. The front desk attitude is very good, the security attitude is good, and we are patient to answer our questions at any time. It is also close to the attractions.
