We stayed at Sinabung Hills Resort and had a very relaxing time. The view of Mount Sinabung is stunning — peaceful and perfect for a nature escape. The resort surroundings are full of greenery and fresh air, which really adds to the calm atmosphere. The room was old but clean, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. We had no issues resting and enjoying the quiet. The garden is spacious, and the pool area has a lovely backdrop of the mountain. The service was really good — staff were friendly, polite, and always ready to help. Breakfast was simple but enough to start the day. Overall, check-in and check-out were smooth and fast. If you're looking for a quiet retreat with natural beauty and good service, Sinabung Hills is worth considering. Just keep in mind it’s a bit dated, but still well maintained.

Large hotel in a beautiful setting. The room was large with a big balcony overlooking the gardens and pool to the volcano in the distance. The large swimming pool was cool but lovely. The food was okay; usual Indonesian dishes with additional steak imported from Australia and New Zealand. Somewhat surprisingly for a hotel catering for conferences, weddings and international guests the only alcohol available was local beer and a version of Guinness, no wine or spirits. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was clean, spacious, but featureless. Very nice walk in shower. Many reviewers commented on it being noisy; even though there were barely a dozen guests staying we could hear every door closing and every conversation. The design of the building with a huge open reception area and hardly any carpets or soft furnishings to absorb sound means that all noise is transmitted. I can see that when the hotel is busy this could be a problem. There isn’t much that they could do about it, with one possible exception; there are little service rooms distributed along the corridors amongst the bedrooms where the staff congregated and had loud conversations . There was one next to our bedroom so we could hear everything. We stayed just one night on the way back from lake Toba to Medan and it was ideal for seeing the volcanoes.

It was so lovely and amazing trip where I can have chance to come and stay at Sinabung Hills Berastagi Medan. Skip a night from the busy hustle Medan city is a good choice to be in quite fresh cold place and see the nature blend with the great hospitality products and services. Drove about 2 hours from Medan and recommended during weekdays instead of weekend and when you enter the Hotel area and go inside to the back side of Hotel then you can see how beautiful it is. Lobby is big enough with plenty of space, nice restaurant with amazing view. Feel like you forgot all your daily activities and feel the fresh air to breathe. Room is spacious and the view from the balcony was fantastic and love to open the windows during stay. Pool so big and beautiful garden with lovely colorful flowers everywhere, big Christmas trees everywhere. Staffs oh so amazing, they are all friendly and always smile and serve you with sincere, you can feel it. Overall, my one night stay brought me good memories and feel wanna back soon with my family. Thank you to Mr. Pasaribu (General Manager) and all hia entire teams who gave me warm welcome and good memories during stay. The room (in very good condition) was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The balcony overlooks the beautiful garden with swimming pools and views of the volcanoes. The meals offered are good as well as the breakfast. The staff is pleasant.

What an incredible noise! Experienced a lot but this, never. People sit outside under your balcony until late at night to be too noisy and the hotel thinks it's fine. Does it with: they don't listen anyway. Also karaoke until early in the morning. Screaming in the hallway and no consideration for other hotel guests. The hotel itself is fine and the rooms are very spacious and clean

I hated the noise in the room. No soundproofing to the outside. Karaoke until 23.00 and the noise in the corridors and the noise of the swimming pool in the morning leads to a short night's sleep. We stayed one night. The hotel is quite good, a little noise at night from the neighbors, you could hear them talking in the hallways and slamming doors (not the hotel's fault). The large room, two comfortable beds and views of the pool. The bathroom is good. For children it looks very appealing. We only had breakfast and it seemed a little scarce. We had time to see the incredible market and return by horse cart. The next day we went up to Sibayak. A great excursion with fantastic views, and it would be much better if everyone picked up after themselves
