RRavipas VongasemjitThe hotel is very lovely and we had a really awesome stay at this hotel. The staf is very kind, helpful and the service was great. The location is superb, very close to the beach and the convention hall nearby for the event. The hotel also provide us the lounger to use at the beach but didn't tell us about the available time (~7am-~7pm) so that we missed the chance to use it. The breakfast is also very chill and delicious.
There are some notes about this hotel. There are resort fees that cost 49$/night which was not specified in the booking that shuold be noted however, thanks to the hotel manager, they helped us with the charges. In addition to the really nice room, the floor in the bedroom is quite cold and cannot walk comfortably with bare foot.

Yyuna82We also used the private beach! Please note that service to both the pool and beach ends at 5pm. It was great that there were refillable bottles in the room and water could be refilled anywhere in the hotel! It's more eco-friendly than plastic bottles. We upgraded to a spacious junior suite, which was a great choice! Our family of four had plenty of room to spare. The bathroom was spacious, with a separate shower and chair. The amenities also had a nice scent.
It was easily accessible from the airport, and we arrived in about 15 minutes by Uber for about 3,500 yen!
From our room, we could see the neighboring tower apartment building and the beach.

GGuest UserVery convenient location. It's on the main street and it's very close to the beach. The deco is nice. The room is spacious for two ppl but if for 3 ppl then the space is a bit tight. I think the Queen size bed is a bit smaller than usual . The staff are helpful. I think it worths the money

CChalsey LBoulan South Beach – Honest Review
I recently stayed at Boulan South Beach and overall had a great experience, with a few minor drawbacks.
Positives:
The location is fantastic—just one block from the beach and in a very walkable area surrounded by great restaurants and bars. The hotel itself offers solid amenities, including a small but relaxing rooftop pool with a bar. One of the highlights of my stay was dining at Orange Blossom, the on-site restaurant. The food was excellent, and I’d highly recommend checking it out even if you’re not staying at the hotel.
The rooms are well-appointed, apartment-style suites that feel spacious and thoughtfully designed. I also appreciated how quiet the rooms were—perfect for getting a good night’s sleep after a day out.
Negatives:
That said, I was disappointed by the bed. The listing advertised a pillow-top mattress, but the bed was far from comfortable and fell short of our expectations. Also, for a room that otherwise felt luxurious, the lack of bathrobes was a small detail that would’ve really rounded out a luxurious experience.
Additionally, while the room was clean, some of the design choices were lovely but weren’t the most practical for a hotel setting. The cloth-upholstered bed frame, while stylish, showed some staining—fabric furniture can be hard to keep looking fresh in a high-turnover “fun” environment. Similarly, the jute rug added visual texture but proves to be difficult to clean and showed signs of wear.
Final Thoughts:
Boulan South Beach is a solid choice if you’re looking for a stylish, well-located hotel in South Beach with great amenities and a quieter, more refined atmosphere. Just be aware of a few comfort and design trade-offs. It really is too bad, because Boulan is excellent on so many things and I would 100% go back and definitely recommend this hotel to others… However, the bed quality really brought down the overall appeal. If they can improve that one aspect, this would easily be a top-tier stay in South Beach.

GGuest UserNice place but they are all about charging you. A $38 drink is a robbery. $309 for a cushion by the pool is absurd. Nice place and well kept main areas. No coffee pot is a big deal. They never reloaded the room refrigerator.

GGuest UserThere is no problem in a twin room for a family of four. The bed is big enough.
However, the space and passages in the room are very narrow. Generally, after the 24” suitcase is opened, there is no room to move around, which is a bit annoying.
The waiters are very welcoming and helpful.
The most surprising thing is that the hotel has free bicycle rentals, which can be borrowed for up to 2 hours a day. Our family of 4 borrowed 4 bicycles and cycled around South Beach, which we found to be a very worthwhile activity.
