Our superior king room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. Very large bathroom too with a large bath and separate shower cubicle. Bed was very comfortable and the room had lovely views. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. We drove to the hotel from the A38 to the hotel and the lanes were narrow (as are many lanes in Devon and Cornwall) but the drive through Haldon Forest was beautiful. We drove out the other way through Ide village onto the A30 which was a bit wider! Would definitely stay again.

What a gem this hotel is. Fantastic superior room which was super clean, light and airy and stocked with everything you could possibly need. Great breakfast. The greatest asset to this hotel is the staff. Everyone super helpful and friendly and go out of their way to make your stay an enjoyable one. We will definitely be back in the near future as we regularly come up to Exeter and have found a great new base. Thank you to everyone who made our stay memorable 😊

Follow their directions NOT your Satnav, but they need to add them if you are coming from Torquay. Lovely setting & quiet. The executive room on top floor, no lift, was great, really comfortable bed with walk-in shower. Decor uninspiring & needs updating.

Slight problems with checking in due to booking errors however after that we settled into our beautiful room with fantastic views and one of the nicest bathrooms ever, modern and perfectly clean, couple of silly oversights otherwise I would have given full marks, .the staff are so hard working and just so friendly, our evening meal was gorgeous and hot and again breakfast was served pipping hot and very tasty. Highly recommend this hotel however the views come at a cost its a nightmare to find down country lanes but worth the effort.

Pleasant staff and surroundings. Buildings a little dated, but reasonably well maintained. Very good breakfast selection. Evening meals were a little limited and Steak was a bit overpriced for the quality.

Lovely hotel in the midst of some glorious countryside. My room with a view was vert well appointed and recently done up so I could have no grumbles, apart from the music which percolated up from the downstairs bar and the guy snoring in the room next door. Excellent evening meal and breakfast, as was service.
