I stayed at R&B Hotel Hachioji for 9 nights in a single non-smoking room from Dec 31, 2024, to Jan 8, 2025.
First impressions:
Room: The room was clean and relatively spacious, featuring a carpeted floor, a clean bathroom, and Toto toilets with a built-in bidet. Liquid soap and shampoo are also provided. The room was quiet and peaceful during my stay, perfect for resting after a long day.
Amenities: A table with a wide variety of amenities (such as disposable toothbrushes, toothpaste, facial cleansers, facial toners, razors, shaving cream, to name a few) can be found on the lobby floor. A coin-operated laundry room with free detergent is also available on the 5th floor. While detergent is free, laundry costs about 200 yen for a 30-minute wash and 200 yen for a 30-minute dry. If needed, a coin exchanger is available on the lobby floor.
Service: The staff were super friendly and accommodating despite the language barrier. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi throughout my stay, which was very convenient for staying connected. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and efficient, and if needed, you can leave your luggage at the hotel before check-in time. Breakfast was included in my package and consisted of curry and rice, oats, yogurt, boiled eggs. For beverages, there was a coffee machine, orange juice, apple juice and tea. Towels and toiletries are changed daily during cleaning time. However, bed sheets are changed only every 3 days, so if your stay is shorter than that, bedding will not be changed—something to keep in mind.
Convenience: The hotel is very well located, with three convenience stores nearby (7-11, Family Mart and Lawsons). The Keio line is just a 5-minute walk away, and the JR line is a bit further, about a 10-minute walk, but still very convenient. There are also shopping malls and eateries nearby. The surrounding area is lively yet peaceful, making it easy to explore.
Value for Money: Considering the location, amenities, and service, I found the hotel to offer excellent value for money.

Everything was great except the pillows. They are a combination pillow that has a hard side which makes it feel like a brick is under your pillow

The room was clean and stylishly decorated. There was a free drink corner and other amenities, and I was happy with the hospitality. The pillows were easy to choose from and I was able to sleep soundly. The staff were also friendly and smiley, and I would like to stay here again.

Hachioji is a really nice city. I stayed here for a day on my way to Mt. Takao and visited the place where FUNKY MONKEY BABYS grew up. There are many Japanese confectionery stores and traditional craft shops here.

It's right next to Keio Hachioji and very convenient to Shinjuku. A simple breakfast will fill you up.
There are only two washing machines and dryers each, which is a bit scarce, so you often have to wait. There are three convenience stores downstairs and opposite which are very convenient.

Stayed for 4 nights in mid-January and had a very good experience. The hotel is clean, well-managed and very new.
Walking distance: About 5 minutes from Hachioji Keio Station and about 10 minutes from Hachioji Jr. Station. Shopping and dining in the nearby area are very convenient and diverse. The two train lines are separated, making it very convenient to travel to various stations in Tokyo.
The front desk staff, the cleaning staff in the breakfast hall, and the cleaning staff in the housekeeping room are all very polite and friendly, and their service attitude is very humble and very good.
Living alone, the room is quite spacious. The sound insulation is very good and the environment is very quiet.
