Spacious
It was nice to have a lot of space in the room, a little odd climbing the spiral staircase to get to the main space however. Lots of cobwebs from the ceiling but otherwise clean.

Velvet Lodge was a great stay. It is at a walkable distance from the central station which is convenient if you are traveling with family and have a lot of luggage like we did. The property was neat and clean, and staff are supportive. Only caveat was walking up and down the stairs for 3 floors with the bags.

Spacious room. I stayed on the top floor so no easily accessible window, I had a skylight. There is no elevator to the top floor so you have to go to 2 and then carry your suitcase up a flight of stairs.

A very nice stay in the velvet lodge, loved the place. Very central and close to the train station. breakfast was nice ans perfect coffee was good aswell slay. would recommend it to collegues. I had the comfort double room wich was nice and quiet.

Close to station and local attractions. Quiet, nice room. Room was not serviced during our stay, and manager was unaware of that when we informed him.

I don’t know how this property got a 9 by *******. Very misleading. It’s no more than a 6. Rundown dingy property. Is an old building which could have been charming if even a little bit of effort was made to decorate it or have cleaner carpets and any at all lighting. The elevator was the service elevator only to the second floor. The staff made no effort to help me with my luggage to the third floor. The bathroom in room 308 smelled awful. Yes Hague is a big city and I suppose you get what you pay for , but I still feel I payed too much.
