Haikou Cloud Villa B&B (Hainan University Haidian Island Branch)

After staying at a hotel near Qilou Old Street in Haikou for three days, I decided to switch to a different area today to explore, so I chose this newly opened guesthouse near Hainan University. I was actually quite impressed! The room is very large, new, and clean. The mattress is memory foam, which some people might like, while others might find it less comfortable – it really depends on personal preference. The owners are incredibly warm and welcoming, which is a big plus. However, on the second morning, when we went downstairs for breakfast and greeted the front desk, they didn't even look at us, haha! It just goes to show that you really need to be hands-on with any business. Also, one thing that bothered me a bit was that the room description mentioned laundry and drying services, but when I took my clothes down to wash, they wouldn't let me use the dryer. The washing machine itself has a drying function, and I'm not sure if it was to save electricity or some other reason they wouldn't allow it. I just figured, whatever, and hung my clothes outside to dry. That part was a bit off-putting.

This guesthouse is excellent! I've stayed in many hotels in Haikou and Sanya, and this one is definitely the best. The cleanliness is superb, the environment is beautiful, and the owners are incredibly warm and welcoming. Even when it rained in Haikou, it wasn't humid at all, and on sunny days, it was bright and airy with no strange smells. The owner even checks each room daily for cleanliness. I immediately extended my stay for another four days! Highly recommend! Five-star review!

Environment: Located right next to Hainan University, the surroundings are great with all necessary amenities nearby. Hygiene: Very clean.

Affordable price, clean room, and great service.

The room was surprisingly good. The entire villa has an elevator, which is super convenient. The service and experience were five-star; the room was even better than the photos. The bedding and toiletries were of star-rated quality and very comfortable. Although it's a new hotel, the owner has paid great attention to the decor, using only environmentally friendly materials, and there was absolutely no odor. Overall, I was extremely satisfied and will definitely stay here again.
