As for other minor drawbacks, some of which are serious: The hotel is a bit far from the best tide-viewing spots. In other words, while the views are beautiful, it's not ideal for tide-watching. A shuttle bus is required for every trip, but it has a limited capacity, so there's a wait. As an aside, I tried to order takeout but was told it could only be delivered to the Visitor Service Center. I had to take a shuttle to the service center to pick it up.
