Hakone Ashinoko Bikeikan

This is a terrible hotel. Because I booked the wrong dates, the hotel refused to refund me, citing platform policy, and wouldn't let me change the dates either. They forced me to check in at the wrong time. This hotel is located halfway up a mountain, and they don't provide a shuttle service, meaning you have to hike. It gets dark here around 4:30 PM, and once you enter the forest, there's a long stretch of unlit path leading to the hotel, but there are abandoned houses, meaning you'll have to brave the elements with your large suitcase. The hotel has no front desk, meaning no one can serve you. If you want to eat, sorry, there are no convenience stores or restaurants nearby. Even if you find a restaurant after going down the mountain, you'll have to hike up again. Or you can choose their expensive instant noodles to fill your stomach, and after eating, you can step into someone else's bathwater in what looks like a cesspool, and then you can sleep peacefully on a bed with strangers' hair. (Friendly reminder: ladies, please don't choose this hotel.)

大きなガラス窓から富士山が目の前にあり景観は最高でした。 布団のシーツや部屋の各所に長い髪の毛が落ちていて衛生的に怖かった。 ホームページの写真ではお皿等が写っていたので食事の際に使おうと思ったが、コップ用意はあるがその他は無しでした。 部屋の静かさや景観は本当に良い。
