Located in the hill with shuttle service provided by local agencies. Taxi ride is about ¥1000.Good size of rooms and hot spring, which are kept very clean. Free soft drinks and sake provided, this added favorite plus some more free amenities. Enjoy my stay here.

Is it because you made a reservation on the day? Even though I paid over 13,000 yen, the lady at the front desk told me that the plan did not include dinner.
The restaurant cannot serve food.
The futon in the Japanese-style room is made by yourself.
Breakfast buffet is also the lowest level.
I was annoyed, so I thought about going home, but paying a cancellation fee is annoying.
Even though the area around Hakone-Yumoto Station is a tourist spot, the restaurant has a lunch break.

Very old hotel with a strong musty smell. The room is quite big, but because of the traffic, I can only stay in the hotel. I don’t have a car to go to other places. There is a circular bus at the station to and from the hotel, but it runs every hour and ends early.

Outdoor onsen open during 1 day of our weekend. Indoor onsen open all days.
Beautiful and walkable to downtown Hokane.
They have table tennis as well.

I imagine that this hot springs resort in its early years was incredible. It has the typical Japanese ambiance but things are very worn and some floors seemed even abandoned. Yet, the staff was great and very helpful. I feel I paid twice or more for the value I received in exchange.

We chose this hotel because it is near the train station and we were arriving in the evening. Despite the convenient location, we would not stay here again. We arrived late in the evening (8pm) on a Friday night and we were disappointed in the available food options. Although the hotel has multiple restaurants, all of them were closed and the izakaya was supposed to be open but they were not serving due to a large party. The rooms were old, dirty, and smelled like smoke. The onsen was big and decent.

Overall rating: ★★★★☆ There's a good chance I'll visit again. Room★★★☆☆ Feels a little old, but spacious enough. 3 points because there are some areas that are not well cleaned. Bath ★★★★☆ The size and hot water are perfect. 4 points because I can only use the open-air bath on Saturdays. Breakfast/Dinner Buffet ★★★★★ There may not be a lot of variety, but once you try it, you'll be satisfied. Free drinks, including alcohol, are great. Only soft drinks are available 24 hours a day. Services ★★★★★ There are many things that can be rented, there is also a kids room, and there are many child-friendly services. Table tennis and karaoke are also available for free, so you can have fun even if you come with friends. Access★★★★☆ Within 10 minutes by Orange Bus from Hakone Yumoto Station. The slope is steep, so I don't recommend relying on Google Maps for walking. There are no convenience stores around, but I didn't need them.

I walked from the station to the hotel. I wish the hotel's official website had walking directions.
There's nothing around. There is no store at the hotel, but there are vending machines.
All-you-can-drink soft drinks are available 24 hours a day, and all-you-can-drink alcohol (beer, wine, shochu, sake, etc.) is available until 9pm, so I imagine there's no need for a shop.
The room I stayed in was a family room, with two Japanese-style rooms, and the national highway was right in front of it, so the noise from cars was a little bothersome.
The room was old and there were some concerns, but the toilet and common space in the room had been renovated, so it was clean and nice.
