Suimeisou's location is fantastic. For our family of three with a child, it was incredibly convenient to walk to the hotel with our luggage right after arriving at Hakone-Yumoto Station. The price for three people for two nights and three days was 7500 RMB. The hotel front desk staff and the ladies in charge were all very welcoming. If we had any questions, we could call our dedicated butler. Since we were staying right next to the old station, we opted for breakfast only instead of the half-board option. The breakfasts for both days were different, and each meal included a vegetable salad, grilled fish, eggs, and more. They were small, individual portions, but very filling. Our butler told me that there were both Western and Chinese breakfast options available every day, which was a nice touch.
The highlight for me was enjoying four hot spring baths during our three-day, two-night stay. Both the private onsen in our room and the outdoor 'Kawachan' onsen on the hotel's top floor were incredibly comfortable and completely washed away the fatigue of travel. This really made our 8-day, 7-night Tokyo + Hakone trip feel quite relaxed, and the hot springs played a huge part in that. The outdoor 'Kawachan' onsen had a higher temperature, which might be a bit hot for kids, but the view was unique. The private onsen in our room had a good temperature that could be adjusted, so each had its own advantages.
