The rooms are incredibly beautiful and spacious, the beds are good, the surroundings are peaceful and gorgeous. And the food is the best we had in all Sri Lanka! They also arranged for a safari for us and de had the greatest experience for a cheaper price then on all the websites. You can visit this hotel without hesitation!

We were greeted so friendly at this beautiful hotel right at Lake Tissa. Madus staff did everything to make our stay memorable. First of all the room was clean, tidy and spacious. The huge terrace with a beautiful view at Lake Tissa was so cozy to hang out at. Dinner and breakfast was freshly prepared by the great chef and it was so delicious. He made the best rice and curry we had so far in Sri Lanka. We always enjoyed our food with a view on Lake Tissa. Madu even organized our whole safari in Yala National Park with a freshly prepared lunch package. The driver was so nice and very good connected with all the other safari jeep drivers to be the first to spot the leopards and elephants. We also did a little crocodile feeding tour which was a lot of fun as well. All in all a great stay and a beautiful hotel!!

Exceptional hotel, probably the best we stayed in. Great location on the lake with beautifully decorated rooms. Perfect base to tour yala national park. Madu and his staff were lovely, very helpful and knowledgeable and provided assistance in organising great tours. Make sure you eat there too as the food is exceptional. Thanks guys! :)

An idyllic location with incredibly attentive service. They organised our safari and all onward transport. A brilliant curry in the evening too. Ideal for a restful and relaxing break as it overlooks the lake on the outskirts of the town. Would recommend

Wow. What more can I say. We came here as part of our honeymoon and we were completely blown away. This is truly an amazing and special place. The rooms are spacious, incredibly well-maintained and all the finer details are taken care of. The bathroom in our room was incredible. It is so quiet and peaceful with wildlife viewing on a constant basis. There are so many birds in the trees and fireflies in the evenings. The viewing balcony is a brilliant place to watch the birds and other wildlife, chill with a beer and watch the sunset. We arranged our safari through here as well and were so glad we did. The staff are all fantastic and so caring and attentive. We were given packed breakfast in beautiful boxes to have in the jeeps each day we went on Safari and when we asked for the Sri Lankan breakfast on the days we didn't- it was truly spectacular - the best breakfast we have had for our whole trip! The attention to details was second to none. We also had such a good experience, we ate dinner here every night which is something we never normally do. The chef and his creations are truly something else - we had the rice and curry and the kottu which were all the best we've had so far in Sri Lanka but we saw others have the grilled fish and prawns and they also looked and smelled amazing! It is a secluded, quiet and beautiful place and Madu gave us a truly personalised and wonderful experience. I am never normally this complimentary but this place is amazing. We couldn't recommend it more! Anyone visiting Tissa or Yala should stay or at least eat here. It is fantastic.

The staff was so nice and friendly, they had excellent Food (best Curry we had in our entire journey), everything organised, had a memorable Safari, super clean and spacious rooms, we felt very much welcome! We can recommend this Hotel very much!
