My family had a confirmed reservation, but they canceled it only one day in advance, leaving us scrambling to find alternative. They showed no remorse for their mistake and offered no real solutions to rectify the situation. We came to check out the hotel later, we found the area was very loud, dirty, and unsafe

We has great service from the moment we arrived 'till the moment we left. Beautiful rooms with very well equiped kitchen and a perfect location if you wanna sleep well and peacefully in one of the coolest areas in the city. We had nothing bad to say about this place.

We stayed in two superior apartments on the first floor. One apartment had a nice balcony - the other had no balcony. So ask for an apartment with a balcony if you fancy one. Some apartments at the ground floor have a terrace. Both apartments had beautiful nordic topdesign and fully equiped kitchens. Everything seemed new and very clean. It is possible to rent a parking space. August The Boardinghouse is located in a young and lively neighbourhood with cafés, shops and nice restaurants. Nevertheless the apartments and gardens at the boardinghouse are peaceful as the building is situated in a backyard. To give five stars/topmarks I could have wished for pillows and duvets with downs, fresh towels every day, aircondition (it was 29 degrees and we had one ventilator in the apartment, so the bedroom or the livingroom was very hot), automatic refil of toiletpaper and minor details like that. We highly recommend August The Boardinghouse.

Exzellentes Apartment-Zimmer (ich war glaube ich noch nie in einem schöneren Zimmer untergebracht), alles vorhanden was man braucht und noch mehr, super sauber und ausgezeichneter Service!

Perfekte Lage, mittendrin im Schanzenviertel, doch durch die Lage des Hauses in einem großen, sonnigen Innenhof sehr ruhig. Von der Straße war nichts zu hören. Sehr gute Anbindung mit Bus und Bahn. Mit Parkplätzen ist es hier allerdings etwas schwierig. Die Zimmer sind perfekt eingerichtet und ausgestattet. Das ganze Anwesen macht einen sehr gepflegten Eindruck. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich. Zimmer sehr sauber. Dank vieler Fenster lichtdurchflutet. Küchenzeile hochwertig, mit allem ausgestattet, was nötig ist. Sinnvolle angeordnete Einbauschränke, bequemes Bett. Badezimmer auch sehr schön. Absolut empfehlenswerte Unterkunft für Hamburg.

Liegt sehr zentral und dennoch ruhig. Das ist sehr toll. Die Inneneinrichtung ist funktional und ästhetisch ansprechend. Bequeme Betten gibt es auch. Der Garten ist gut nutzbar und die anderen Gäste waren angenehm und rücksichtsvoll. Unser Appartement war sehr klein. Für länger als zwei drei Tage zu zweit eher herausfordernd. Die oberen Appartements eigenen sich definitiv nicht für Leute, die nicht so gut zu Fuss sind. Es gibt keinen Lift und die Treppen sind sehr steil. Ist mit schwerem Gepäck auch nicht so ideal.
