Royal Azur Thalassa

We really struggled with the service here. I told them I was getting married and I have family staying with them as well as family scattered at other nearby hotels. Royal Azur is the only hotel that would not cooperate with us to allow guests into the hotel. We were stopped multiple times at the front gate and the staff in the front desk would not accommodate our needs. Weddings are stressful as it is, however, the hotel did not alleviate any of that and added more levels of stress. I will not be coming back here.

Food options at breakfast and dinner were decent. We are glad we went for the half board option. Desserts were really nice. Free access to indoor heated pools were really good and jacuzzi. Great view from our bedroom with two balconies. ATM and money exchange was available at the hotel. Corner shops and food shops also nearby. Evening entertainment bit loud. Beautiful view of seafront and walkable to beach with unlimited drinks. Spacious rooms and quiet. Sadly bedsheets were dirty did request for them to be changed but were still bubbly and very uncomfortable to sleep in. Pillows were too soft. Carpets a bit run down in hotel and smell of cigarettes in corridors. Requested iron three times and didnt get it till next day. Any additional water bottles for the room we were told had an extra charge. Decent hotel for a short stay.

Has an amazing time here. I want to give out a very special shoutout to Chokri who worked in the reception area. When we arrived he was stood outside ready to take our luggage off of the coach. He couldn’t have been any better throughout the whole trip, giving us advice, suggestions and making sure everything is going well. I want to rebook at this hotel mainly because of Chokri. Amazing worker and definitely an asset to your team! We did have one little hiccup in the beginning with our room. We were placed in a room without a balcony which I thought would be a standard for the hotel. However, we did get moved which was really nice. The food was okay, pretty samey, but that’s all inclusive for you. Another special shoutout out to ragheb from the all inclusive (evening waiter) he was the most attentive ever. At dinner we would look for him and sit in his section. He is probably one of the best in the main dining area and makes sure you’re well looked after. Our glass was always filled up and we looked forward to being on his section every night. We tipped him and you could tell he was very grateful and didn’t expect it. He just did his job to the best of his ability because that is his personality. Overall the experience was great. Room was clean. Pool was cold, but we went in October so can’t complain. Drinks were very sweet but the bar men tried to accompany our requests. I would love to come back, Tunisia truly stole my heart. I would love to come back and do a social media review.
