The landlady's service attitude was excellent, and I loved the room type. It's right by the canal, so you just step out and you're there. The slow-paced life here is truly perfect. In the evening, we moved the guesthouse's chairs and table by the river and leisurely munched on sunflower seeds – it was wonderfully relaxing.

Fronting Grand canal. The view of the river is so relaxing. The accomodation is a proper guest house in western countries. It is an ancient Chinese Mansion. It feels so serene sitting in the courtyard while having Tea. one of the courtyard has the iconic architectural style(Siheyuan). The area has few tourist only compared to other places. There is a food street before . This is Tangqi Ancient town which is rich in Ming and Qing dynasty history.The room is spacious, Has air conditioning unit that blows cold air and that can be left turned on whilst you are briefly out of your room. The Host is very helpful in everything including helping out in booking for activities.Me and my family initially intended to stay for one night only and ended up staying there for 4 nights instead. I have been to china 7 times and have stayed in all sorts of accommodation ,this accommodation I do like most. Take your love one here for a romantic vibe getaway.

A truly beautiful hotel in the incredibly beautiful Tangshu Ancient Town. The lady wearing glasses was kind during check-in, and the gentleman was super friendly during check-out. I was running a bit late and couldn't get a Didi, so he helped me out and even carried my luggage to the pick-up point. It was so much better than downtown Hangzhou that I was really sad I only stayed for one night. I told the gentleman that I’d see him next time, and I really want to go back. A healing travel destination.

Xitang Homestay is highly, highly recommended:
1. Built in the late Qing Dynasty, it's over a century old; stepping through the gate, you're immediately enveloped in the atmosphere of time.
2. The courtyard is incredibly lush with greenery; a jujube tree and a pomegranate tree are laden with enormous fruit—honestly, much larger than the ones you buy from older women outside.
3. The rooms are impeccably clean. Although the owner has reinforced the walls, the original beams have been preserved, and the wood feels wonderful to the touch.
4. The owner is very easy to communicate with and responds promptly to any requests. The tea he brews is also delicious.
5. The owner has two cats, one of which is a black cat over ten years old, but it seems very energetic and incredibly friendly!
