West Lake Teavilla

Good resort. Nice rooms but could be better. Like a place to hang your towels and clothes. Needs some touching up and general cleaning.

Amazing hotel just a few minutes walk from the shore of West Lake. The environment is good, with music in the evening, and friendly staff in the restaurant. Rooms were simple enough, but adequate. It really wins on location - as it wasn't that busy around and was great to explore the walking paths and attractions nearby.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights and had a very pleasant experience. Located to the west of West Lake (西湖), the hotel is beautifully hidden in the forest, blending seamlessly with nature. It consists of several small buildings surrounding a pond, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The room was clean and well-maintained, with very comfortable beds. The hotel staff were kind, attentive, and professional, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Although it's a bit far from the metro, it’s still conveniently located near major tourist attractions, making it a great base for exploring Hangzhou. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat close to nature while still having access to the city’s highlights.

Authentic, intimate, hospitable in the ideal location with a small restaurant serving well prepared local (and I think other regional Chinese) food catering for hotel guests, and it seems also frequented by locals. The sort of accommodation I'm always on the look out for when travelling around China. Thanks for making us feel welcome.
