The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, right within the West Lake scenic area, with exclusive access to nearly two kilometers of shoreline. The service is also excellent, highly recommended! 👍👍

This is a must-stay hotel when visiting Hangzhou. The hotel itself feels like an extension of West Lake, and it's so pleasant to stroll along the lakeside. The hotel's garden landscaping is also delightful. The breakfast is rich, with a wide variety of Chinese and Western options. The location is excellent; step out of the west gate and you're just a few steps from Su Causeway, making it convenient to get anywhere. The Chinese restaurant within the hotel also offers delicious dishes. The staff, both the handsome men and beautiful women, provide excellent, proactive, and thoughtful service. I will definitely choose Xizi Hotel again on my next visit to Hangzhou.

The room was clean and comfortable. This hotel used to be a state guesthouse, and it's located right by West Lake, offering a truly beautiful environment. Behind it is Leifeng Pagoda, and on a clear day, you can even see 'Leifeng Pagoda in the Sunset,' one of the Ten Scenes of West Lake. The butler was very thoughtful, and the service was excellent. Breakfast was plentiful, and they provided a shuttle service for the elderly to get around the gardens. We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The Wangzhuang Hotel, once a symbol of China, is nestled at the foot of Leifeng Pagoda and is a renowned garden of West Lake. Although I only stayed one night this time, the activities were plentiful. I joined a guided tour, following the state guest route, and stayed in the Presidential Building (Building No. 1). After dinner, I enjoyed a very pleasant stroll by the lake! I have a small suggestion: if guests stay for several days, the cultural activities could be further enriched, perhaps by sharing more historical stories, offering guzheng appreciation, or providing boat tours of West Lake! The staff are all handsome men and beautiful women, a standard you'd expect from a state guesthouse, and it's quite something to work there. It was indeed a pleasure to the eyes.

The public areas are superb, very comfortable and aesthetically pleasing, offering exclusive views of West Lake. Regarding facilities, the front desk arranged for us to stay in Building 5, stating it was newly renovated. The interior did indeed look recently renovated, but some hardware needs maintenance (for instance, the outlets by the bed were still unusable, which shouldn't happen in a standard state guesthouse—this needs follow-up). Upon check-in, we were offered a small cup of plum juice. The front desk seated my companion on the other side of the lobby but didn't proactively bring her the drink, which I found a bit disappointing. The most unsatisfying part was breakfast. I honestly didn't find it tasty (for this caliber of hotel); only the handmade dumplings were good. It was so ordinary that I didn't even want to take photos, which explains why there are rarely reviews about Wang Zhuang's breakfast. Otherwise, everything else met five-star hotel standards, nothing particularly special. Most staff members were very polite, but unlike abroad, Wang Zhuang staff generally don't greet you proactively when passing in the hallway, haha!

The room was excellent, very new, and the bedding was super comfortable. The food at Peony Hall was delicious; I went there twice in a row, and the taste was definitely worth the price! The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, just a short walk to the pier and attractions. The views from within the hotel are also stunning.

They upgraded us to a suite, and the design and space were excellent. We had a seafood buffet dinner at Yao Garden, and the hotel even offered us a discount. 🌹 We forgot a towel when we checked out, and the hotel called to offer to mail it back to us for free. Many thanks! 🌹 We'll definitely be back next spring when the flowers bloom. 💕

Choosing a hotel by West Lake was such a dilemma! Due to West Lake's cultural tourism ecological protection policies, all lakeside buildings are height-restricted and low-rise, with no large-scale renovation allowed. This means many older hotels inevitably have dated interiors. After a lot of research and comparing several options, I finally settled on Xizi Hotel. This is a renowned state guesthouse, where world leaders stayed during the G20 summit, and the classic photo spot for the Leifeng Pagoda is also here. Drawn by its rich history, I made a special trip to stay, and the experience certainly didn't disappoint. The hotel is right next to West Lake, with strict security at the entrance, ensuring excellent privacy. Guests need to walk into the park to reach the guest room areas. The complex is divided into multiple buildings; I stayed in Building 8, which was recently renovated in the last few years, so the facilities are new and clean. The room size isn't huge, but the ceiling height is exceptionally generous, making it feel spacious and not at all cramped – very comfortable to stay in. The room service was incredibly thoughtful. Fresh seasonal fruits were provided daily, and they even helped receive and store packages at the front desk. Pretty much every request was met. If you're vacationing at West Lake and want to relax by the lake in peace without constantly moving around, Xizi Hotel is definitely a top choice. Next time I visit Hangzhou, I'll still choose this place. A big thank you to all the staff for their attentive and thoughtful service!

Absolutely fantastic! I've stayed in many hotels, and I was a bit apprehensive before coming here, but once I checked in, I truly understood why it's called 'Xizi' (West Lake). The garden setting is stunning. Before arriving, I spent 380 yuan on a boat trip and 240 yuan on a sightseeing bus, but neither offered views as beautiful as what I saw from the hotel. The room was clean, and the service was superb, from the tea offered at check-in to the attentive staff when leaving. The breakfast is definitely worth mentioning; it was the best among all the five-star hotels I've stayed in these past few days. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Hangzhou.
