Kempinski Hotel Hangzhou

I've booked with Kempinski multiple times, and the front desk staff are always incredibly friendly. The overall experience has consistently been excellent. On this most recent stay, I found the surroundings to be very convenient. The hotel's facilities are quite new, and this time, my room experience was even better – I even had a view of the canal! I'll definitely be back again.

I stayed here for three nights, checking in on 'Xiaonian' (Little New Year's Eve) and then extending my stay by an extra night. It was an absolutely delightful experience. I've stayed at Kempinski hotels in other cities before, but this was my first time at the Hangzhou location, and I loved it. I'll definitely be back. The service here is truly top-notch. Whether it was the front desk, housekeeping, or the F&B department, everyone was customer-focused and service-oriented, making us feel incredibly welcome. A huge thank you to the entire hotel staff! The breakfast from the F&B department was exquisite and perfect every day. They even sought customer feedback and promptly implemented suggestions for improvement! Thank you! The housekeeping staff responsible for the tenth floor was extremely diligent and responsible. Please convey our gratitude to them. For guests like us who have high standards for cleanliness, I can only say their service was impeccable! And during these few days, they were always responsive, hardworking, and maintained a constant smile, which is truly commendable! I also want to specially mention the hotel gym. My daughter absolutely raved about it, saying the facilities are high-end in the hotel industry. It's definitely worth recommending! The location is excellent, the hotel service is very thoughtful, the hygiene is spotless, and the environment is comfortable. We communicated in advance that it was for a birthday celebration, and they even decorated the room. My child said they want to stay at this hotel again next time we come to Hangzhou.

This hotel, often hyped as an 'influencer hotspot,' frankly feels a bit superficial, from the room decor to the quality of service. 1. It's practically a postnatal care center party here! Some floors mix regular guests with a confinement center, and you'll see nannies wandering around the elevators. 2. I had two suitcases and a gym bag, and no one offered to help with luggage upon check-in. 3. The bathroom sink is so shallow; is it designed to splash water all over guests, or to spray backward onto the counter, making guests slip right at the door? 4. Is the room phone just a prop? 5. While waiting for the elevator, a staff member walked out, saw my two suitcases and bag, and blatantly and silently walked past me into the supply room as if I wasn't even there. 6. After checking out, I sat in the lobby lounge for a bit. Waiter A asked if I needed warm water and then left. Shortly after, Waiter B came over and said, 'This is the lobby lounge; if you want to rest, you should use the chairs near the front desk.' Seriously, is your lobby lounge so packed today that you need me to vacate my seat? 7. The pool is supposedly famous in Hangzhou, but it's not actually that big. And fine, it's small, but is it just for aesthetics or what? Why isn't there an anti-slip mat on the ground? Goodbye 👋

The design, artistry, craftsmanship, and materials are all spot on, creating a truly beautiful aesthetic. The circulation path in the room also aligns with practical needs, making it more interesting to live in than a conventional five-star hotel. Oh, and the bed is super comfortable. I do have one suggestion: the shower water temperature is set too low. Perhaps the hotel wants to avoid scalding guests and prevent trouble, but the water is simply too cold to adjust higher, making for an unpleasantly chilly shower.
