Congyin Courtyard

Clean and tidy, very close to Lingyin Temple. The surrounding area offers convenient dining and other amenities.

Last year, I booked a room at the Congyin Courtyard, specifically the Xishi room type, and I really liked it. This year, my friend and I decided to book the Xishi room again. Our room faced the mountain, which made it incredibly quiet. I found the room itself to be quite nice, with a large tatami bed, and you could even sit by the window to enjoy a cup of tea, which was very pleasant. The room was clean and hygienic, and all the toiletries were provided. There were also complimentary welcome snacks. The owner's sister was very kind; she contacted me a day in advance to provide information about transportation. I particularly loved the sunroom at the front desk on the first floor – it was very cozy. The courtyard is also very close to the Feilaifeng Scenic Area, just a 5-minute walk away.

The room was a bit small, but it was clean, and the disposable toiletries were decent. The lobby area was quite comfortable, and the plants and decor blended well with the surroundings. If you visit in the summer, the air conditioning is very effective. There's a washing machine in the utility room down the hall that can spin dry, but it doesn't have a drying function. It's not allowed to be used after 9 PM, reportedly to avoid disturbing guests. You can hang clothes in the small courtyard, but I didn't dare to due to the many outdoor insects.

This has pretty much become our go-to spot whenever we visit Lingyin Temple. The bedding and bathroom facilities are quite good. For a guesthouse, it's definitely one of the better ones in terms of its physical amenities and overall setup.

I stayed here again. The room was a bit small, but clean and tidy, and the kids loved it. I specifically chose this place because it's convenient for visiting Lingyin Temple to pray. The vegetarian noodles across the street were delicious too.

The scenery is incredibly beautiful, and there are plenty of options for food, drinks, and entertainment all around. It's great value for money. The host was also very patient and super nice, offering many travel recommendations.
