Haoiar Hotel (Hangzhou West Lake Lingyin Temple)

The hotel is nestled by West Lake, offering a very peaceful and quiet environment. The room was incredibly spacious, and they even provided four bottles of water. The front desk offered ginger tea, coffee, and even lens cleaning cloths. For breakfast, we got vouchers to a steamed dumpling (shaomai) shop just outside, and their shaomai completely changed my perception – it was absolutely delicious! There's parking available outside the hotel, and it's pet-friendly! A special shout-out to the beautiful and enthusiastic young lady at the front desk. As soon as we arrived, she warmly welcomed my well-behaved dog and immediately upgraded us for free to a massive room with a courtyard. It was incredibly thoughtful and touching! Ordering takeout to the hotel was super convenient, and the lovely front desk attendant even brought it to our room twice. Her warmth truly comes from the heart, and she's as kind as she is beautiful! I wish her all the best! My stay near West Lake in Hangzhou was absolutely perfect! 👍

The hotel environment is exceptionally good, and the service is very warm and welcoming. The breakfast is delicious, and the bedding in the room is super comfortable. The hotel's location is very convenient, and the facilities are clean and well-maintained. The staff's service attitude is very professional. I'll definitely stay here again next time. Thumbs up!

The front desk staff were warm, thoughtful, and provided attentive service. The room was a bit cold in winter, so I asked for an extra blanket and brought my own hot water bottle. The surrounding scenery is first-class, like a small peach garden by West Lake. The wontons, buns, and shaomai for breakfast were all very delicious; I ate them for three days straight.

The room only had one small round stool, leaving no place for my bags, scarf and hat, or clothes changed at night. The bathroom door and the towel rack under the sink were damaged, and the sealant strip in the shower was falling off. The air conditioning was noisy even on silent mode, making it hard to sleep. The lighting design was poorly thought out: one light in the hallway could only be turned off via the master switch by the door, meaning I had to fumble in the dark to the door to turn on the lights if I woke up at night. The power outlet and USB port by the bed were also broken.

Everything was great, a very pleasant surprise! The breakfast buffet was also delicious. I took a walk around in the morning and the scenery was beautiful too.

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, right by the Maojiabu Lake, in the heart of the core scenic area, making it convenient to get anywhere. It's an easy walk to Lingyin Temple, Su Causeway, and more. The rooms are also excellent; ground-floor rooms have a courtyard, and second-floor rooms boast a terrace – perfect for enjoying tea and soaking up the sun. The hotel breakfast is quite good too, made fresh to order. I highly recommend the shrimp wontons! By the way, the front desk staff are incredibly warm and lovely. Plus, it's a pet-friendly hotel with several adorable cats! 🥰
