Sheraton Grand Hangzhou Binjiang Hotel

The room was spotlessly clean with no hidden corners, and the bedding felt great against the skin with no strange odors – attention to detail truly shone through. The decor was elegant, cozy, and tastefully simple. Breakfast offered a rich and diverse selection, with a balanced mix of hot, cold, meat, and vegetarian options, plus a chance to savor authentic local flavors. The overall experience was superb! Went to Binjiang for a music festival, and a friend recommended this Sheraton. It's been a long time since I stayed at a Sheraton, and initially, I wasn't too keen on choosing it. However, my experience there was quite good. First, the riverside scenery is beautiful and very quiet, perfect for a longer vacation stay. Aimee at the front desk had a great attitude. Because rooms were tight, we had to wait about ten minutes upon arrival, so she upgraded us to an executive room. I encountered a guest smoking in the elevator, and after reporting it to her, she not only offered me a fruit platter but also spoke with the smoking guest and issued a warning. The afternoon tea cookies were delicious, and my child loved them. YOYO on the executive floor was particularly wonderful, with warm and friendly service. She proactively helped arrange for some cookies to be packed for my child. The service here is truly commendable. I'll definitely go back and stay longer next time; I was a bit rushed this trip and would like to fully enjoy it next time.

When I come to Hangzhou, I usually stay at Le Méridien or Sheraton Binjiang, mainly because both offer great river views and spacious rooms. Compared to the Azure Hotel in Shangcheng District, they also offer a significant price advantage. I usually book directly, but this time I got a Binjiang Culture & Tourism voucher on Ctrip, bringing the Sheraton Binjiang down to an unbeatable 600 per night. Incredible value for money! After a phone call with customer service where I mentioned I'm a Marriott Platinum member, they promptly upgraded my breakfast and gave me a river view room. (I understand that Ctrip bookings usually don't come with SNRs, so no elite night credit or points accumulation this time). Initially, I was given room 810, but the view was blocked by the lobby's high ceiling due to the low floor. I asked the front desk if I could switch to a higher floor. After all, there's no point in having a river view room if you can't see the river. I didn't have high hopes, but the front desk agent, Zhai Ningning, very politely helped me move to room 1006. The bed in room 1006 was truly massive, feeling like two 1.2-meter beds put together – a whole family could comfortably sleep in it. However, room 1006 was right next to suite 1005 and had a connecting door, which made me a bit uncomfortable. So, I went down again to ask if I could change rooms. Honestly, I didn't expect another change, especially since it was peak check-in time and the front desk was bustling with guests. But Ms. Zhai Ningning once again went above and beyond, helping me switch to room 1108. This was on the executive floor. Even though there's no lounge there, I'm incredibly grateful for this front desk agent's attentive and customer-centric service. The hotel environment is excellent, and the hygiene is top-notch, leading to a very comfortable stay. I think I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Hangzhou.

What truly shouldn't be missed is the high-floor night view. As dusk settles and city lights begin to twinkle, looking out from the balcony, you can see building silhouettes outlined by neon, and traffic flowing like golden streams. With a gentle evening breeze, even the fatigue of travel is washed away by this stunning scenery. It's also incredibly photogenic, perfect for your social media feed. The breakfast is a definite bonus, served from 7 AM to 10 AM, with a rich and fresh variety. Options range from Chinese congee, steamed buns, and pickles to Western sandwiches, pastries, and freshly squeezed juices, plus local specialty snacks. Whether you prefer lighter flavors or a more diverse palate, you'll find something to your liking. Even more impressive is the front desk service. During check-in, they proactively explain how to use in-room facilities and thoughtfully recommend off-the-beaten-path attractions and must-try restaurants nearby. They also respond promptly to any inquiries, demonstrating both thoroughness and warmth, which adds a comforting touch to exploring an unfamiliar city.
