YAGU Resort Hangzhou

My stay at Ya Gu Quan Resort exceeded all expectations! The hotel is nestled within the West Lake scenic area, surrounded by lush greenery, making it feel like living in a mountain oxygen bar, far removed from the city's hustle and bustle. The room itself was elegantly designed in a new Chinese style, clean, and spacious, with verdant views right outside the window. The staff were incredibly gentle and provided meticulous, thoughtful service. The resort grounds offer plenty of space for leisurely strolls and admiring the scenery, along with amenities like a children's playground and a swimming pool. From the hotel, you can easily walk to less crowded and beautiful hidden gems of West Lake such as Turtle Pond and Bathing Heron Bay, perfect for a slow-paced trip. Spending a night here was incredibly relaxing for both my mind and body. It's truly a hidden gem for a Hangzhou getaway, and I highly recommend it! The complimentary travel photoshoot package provided by the hotel also yielded some fantastic photos, adding a wonderful bonus to our trip.

Overall, the hotel is pretty decent. The surroundings are lovely—very quiet and full of lush greenery. The in-room facilities are a bit dated due to their age, lacking smart home features, and a few amenities didn't work as well as they should. The breakfast was quite good, but dinner was just average, and the food service was very slow. As for the service, the staff was generally professional.

I first want to commend Xiao Deng; her attitude was genuinely kind and natural, and her service was meticulous and thoughtful, making me feel incredibly warm. The hotel's facilities are also very comprehensive, with travel photography services, a swimming pool, a gym, and a parent-child play area – you won't get bored even if you stay all day.

This hotel offers excellent value for money. It's a peaceful oasis tucked away from the hustle and bustle. The surrounding area is very convenient for dining, hiking, and exploring the Sandaishan scenic area. It's a great escape from the concrete jungle on weekends and holidays.

The hotel is quiet with only two floors. The room is spacious, and the balcony is wide. The service was quite good, and the breakfast was excellent. The arranged photoshoot service was great, and the photos turned out fantastic! All 5-star ratings from me!!!

Bed bugs!!! I was in Hangzhou for a friend's wedding. This hotel was the wedding venue, so I booked a stay here. I stayed in room 8171 for a total of three nights (the last night was covered by the newlywed couple). After two nights, I started feeling itchy on the third day – I later learned that bed bug bites typically take 1-2 days to start itching. I had never encountered bed bugs before, so I had no idea what was happening or why my calves and knees were so itchy. It wasn't until I got home and my family saw the bites that I realized I had been bitten in the hotel room! Now I'm very worried that my luggage and clothes have brought bed bugs home, contaminating our carpets and beds. I hope a deep clean will get rid of them completely! Room – If I could give a negative rating, I would. Besides the bed bugs, the toilet was also clogged during my stay (though they fixed it fairly promptly). But the main issue is the bed bugs!!! Service – The front desk staff were nice. I originally wanted to give 5 stars, but due to the hygiene issues caused by the cleaning staff, I'm deducting 3 points! Location – This is subjective. It's on the north side of West Lake, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It's good if you want peace and quiet, but not very convenient if you want to visit attractions. The hotel isn't directly on the lake, so there's no real West Lake view, but there's a small lake (Laoquan, though it's no longer an active hot spring) inside the hotel grounds.

A hidden gem right by West Lake, this hotel offers the perfect blend of a prime location and tranquil seclusion. Just a few steps from Su Causeway, the hotel itself is designed in the classic Suzhou garden style. I've stayed here twice already and will definitely be back on my next trip to Hangzhou.

Overall, it's pretty good at Huajia Mountain, but getting around is a bit inconvenient. The hotel has excellent greenery, and the rooms meet basic needs.
