Lakeview Hotel Hangzhou

An older hotel, conveniently located near Broken Bridge with bus stops nearby. The downside is that West Lake gets extremely crowded on weekends, leading to heavy traffic. The 8th-floor observation deck offers a great view of West Lake. My 'Ocean Room' was for two adults and two children, but the room rate only included breakfast for three, which didn't match the occupancy. I had to pay an extra 49 RMB for one child's breakfast. If you turn left when you exit, there are several bus routes to Longjing Village from the bus stop.

The room was quite small. When I booked, it clearly stated a room upgrade was included, but upon arrival, the staff said only the mattress had been upgraded. Seeing how busy they were, I didn't push the issue. Once in the room, I found it cramped with dated facilities, essentially on par with a very average 4-star hotel. The 5-diamond rating seems questionable. Additionally, most rooms don't offer a view of West Lake. On the positive side, it's genuinely close to West Lake, the staff were friendly and smiling, and breakfast was good. However, they did keep sending messages asking for good reviews even after I checked out.

The hotel's location is excellent, right across from West Lake. The room was clean and tidy, the bed was very comfortable, and the service was attentive. They asked about our check-in needs in advance, and the extra blanket we requested was already prepared in the room. They also helped us with a late check-out. The breakfast was great, and I highly recommend staying here. If I had to mention a downside, the soundproofing was a bit poor as you could hear people in the hallway. On the other hand, the 8th-floor terrace offers fantastic views.

The location is absolutely fantastic! West Lake is just a few steps away, offering a peaceful retreat right in the heart of the city. The room was clean and comfortable, with soft bedding and good soundproofing. The service was warm and attentive; both the front desk and the butler were very thoughtful. Breakfast had a great selection and tasted delicious. It's an older hotel but very well-maintained, with all the necessary facilities, offering excellent value for money. Staying here in Hangzhou is truly hassle-free. I'd definitely choose it again next time.

Though a bit dated, the decor is clean, and the location is super convenient. It's right by West Lake, and also close to Yintai in77 and Wulin Night Market, so finding places to eat is a breeze.

The room was spotless, and the service was incredibly attentive. Housekeeping even delivered a fruit platter every day, which was a lovely touch. I was also pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade upon arrival, offering a beautiful view of West Lake. Absolutely delighted with my stay, I'll definitely book here again next time I'm in Hangzhou.
