We camped last night at Catania and it was one of the stand out stays of our two week holiday. Joe, Sharon and Catania Fruit Salad Farm are definitely what we’ll remember about Griffith. We learnt so much about the farm and the area, tasting the delicious produce and understanding a little more about farming ups and downs. We didn’t expect it to be such a wonderful stop over. The sunset over the fields was magnificent. We didn’t wake in time for the sunrise but imagine it would have been the same. Thank you Joe and Sharon.

When visiting Griffith, we visited the Catania Fruit Salad Farm. On arrival we were very warmly greeted by the owner Joe. Where do we start! This bloke is a legend! He tells the story of the farm and it's history with so much passion. After a short wait more guests arrived and we boarded the quirkiest old toyota bus you could ever see. Corrugated iron roof and sides,and everything else inside ripped and torn. It was great fun as Joe took us around he farm periodically stopping to explain in detail the various fruit trees and vines. His factual from the heart knowledge was amazing. The tour was about 1.5 hours in time and finished up with more stories and hints on how to eat cumquats at the farm shop..The cost per person was a ridiculously low $20.00 each!! One of the best tours we have ever done with a real down to earth fair dinkum host.
