The hotel offers no private parking, shared public parking. The hotel isn’t maintained at all. The hotel needs a deep cleanse, the room was right in sight for the spur balcony offering zero privacy. The family room was too small and no space to move. The room didn’t have toilet paper, the sheets has marks/stains. The only positive thing was how helpful the staff was. We had booked for a 5 day stay, canceled the booking after the first night. Just a terrible property, definitely not close to a 4 star

Disappointing Stay - Not Worthy of 4 Stars I stayed at this hotel on January 8th, and my experience was far from what I expected from a 4-star establishment. First, the beds were horrendous—far from comfortable and definitely not conducive to a good night’s sleep. The bathroom was another disappointment, with shower water draining extremely slowly, causing a puddle to form as it overflow. To make matters worse, the rubber mats they provided were a hazard—I slipped and hurt my foot, which I now need to have checked out. Breakfast was equally disappointing. The selection was not up to the standard of a 4-star hotel, and while I wanted an omelette, I decided against it when I noticed a fly hovering persistently around the bacon. For such a prime location, it is so sad that this hotel is in the state it is. To top it off, when we checked out, the receptionist was far from friendly, adding to an already unpleasant experience. Overall, this was a very disappointing stay. I cannot recommend this hotel and would advise others to look elsewhere

I’ll be honest, when I read the reviews of this hotel prior to arrival – I was worried. However, having just checked out, they are not fair. I’m not sure if the hotel is under new management, but we had an excellent stay. The hotel is clean (credit to the housekeeping team), rooms are clean, with international plugs, and the view of the sea is unparalleled. We slept with the door to the balcony open to hear the sound of the sea crashing against the rocks. The room includes a fridge, which had fresh milk in it - ready for those that want a cup of tea. I’d definitely stay again.

During my Business trip, of enduring tiresome & arduous travels through many suburbs from Western Cape to George, I was rather unwelcomed as a man at the reception desk of The Point Hotel & Spa regarded my online *********** as a total error. He said that the online Booking erroneously allocated a room that was initially allocated for the Chef on duty. I politely withdrew myself due to my exhaustion. I cannot understand why I am receiving a gratitude auto-response email as well as another request for me to review your hosting. A Letter of Apology for the inconvenience at the last hour on a business day, would have been more appropriate.

What a wonderful experience it was to have a room only meters from the sea crashing onto the rocks below and waking up to a group of people having a swim in the largest rock pool in Africa.

The hotel was dirty and run down. The TV in the reception for the rugby was a strange tinge of blue. The pizza served were probably the worst I have ever had. The floors and showers were so gross and run down that I showered in my slip slops. The only saving grace was the very polite and helpful reception staff. Very disappointing at R3000 per night.

My stay was enjoyable, the view from my room was wonderful. The wifi and mobile signal was terrible Breakfast was nice.
