Hotel is very basic. It’s close to a McDonalds for breakfast and Sainsbury’s for things you may need. The hotel is not so well insulated for sound and can be noisy.

Not the best example of a Premier Inn. We stayed here for three nights whilst visiting family. Whilst the Premier Plus room was excellent except for a hole in the back of the bathroom door. Admittedly they were refurbishing the rooms, but sadly this did cause some problems. No Wi-Fi for three days although included in the Premier Plus price it did not exist. No refund offered of course. Breakfast on the third day did not exist as there were problems with the water in the kitchen. As we had pre paid for it, a refund was offered. Beats me why it takes 14 days to get my money back when they can take it off me in 14 seconds. The One thing that saves this place is the staff. Friendly and helpful throughout. Hopefully next year things will be better.

Well the pillows were rock hard not fluffy Room was newly decorated and looked great. However lights were not working properly, air con was making a horrible noise and there was no water pressure for lovely new bathroom. Breakfast terrible worse than the worse premier in poor quality Staff said not they're problem and wouldld give partial refund I have no idea how to complain but will try and contact premier inn

Nice room, clean and quite spacious, bed was comfy but the pillows were awful and only 2 of them had pillow cases, we appreciated the free water and chocolate. The shower was very weak and annoying, no pressure but nice products, new decor and lighting.

Positive The bed was comfortable. Negatives 1. Water pressure non existent - showering was a waste of time. 2. Insufficient surfaces, facilities and storage. I expected the room to have desk like all the other Premiers we’ve stayed in. Everything had to go on the little circular table, on the floor, or remain in the suitcases for which there was only one stand. There were no glasses in the room or bathroom and had to ask for 2. We were told to use the coffee mugs for wine and in the bathroom. 3. Excessive noise from the motor company next door started at around 6 am. 4. Excessive noise from the refurbishment work started at around 7:30 am. 5. Excessive noise from a faulty lift went on almost until midnight when I had to go to reception to complain. Only then was it disabled and signs put up for it not to be used. I was told that there wasn’t an alternative room for us. 6. We ate at the Brewers Fayre on the first night - the fish and chips were lukewarm and tasteless. We vowed not to eat there again. 7. After the lift fiasco I arranged to speak with the manager the next morning. We had decided that after 2 disturbed nights and early mornings we could not stay for the remaining 4 booked nights and to check out and come home. I was immediately informed that there was, now, an alternative room for us away from the faulty lift (which had been fixed that morning) but it wasn’t a guarantee that we would not be woken each morning by the building work. I asked about a refund as per Premier Inn’s Good Night Sleep Policy, but was told that because my reminder email mentioned that there was refurbishment work being undertaken [no mention of the excessive noise it would bring] we were not eligible. Reasons for checking out 4 days early 1. Lack of an effective shower 2. Noise from the lift, even when working properly 3. Excessive external noise from local businesses 4. Excessive noise from refurbishment work Outcome I completed the feedback form and submitted a formal complaint I received a call from Customer Relations who reinforced their position. They did apologise and offered a full refund for the 2 nights we stayed. Nothing could be done about the 4 nights we missed out on. We have stayed in many Premier Inns all over the UK but this was the worst one ever. It does need a complete facelift, but they should have closed it down completely whilst it was being undertaken. I would not recommend anyone stay here.

Three weeks of torture. The hotel was being refurbished and there was constant noise from 0800 until 1800, seven days a week. Even on Bank Holidays. The water pressure was half what it should be so I was unable to use the shower. On several days there wasn't any hot water. I was refused a refund so I could leave. The room was uninhabitable during the day. The constant banging and drilling were at times unbearable. My formal complaint was fobbed off with a standard generic e-mail. It really was the stay from hell.

We stayed because it was the closest hotel to the hospital. The staff seem oblivious of this. They were short, seemed bothered by every interaction and unbothered by complaints. The water pressure was abysmal and they basically just told us "yeah we know there's nothing we can do". Offered nothing in the way of apology or compensation. Unfortunately we had to stay another night, which was worse due to noise from refurbishment in the rooms above, much worse quality of room and continued attitude from staff. In addition the fire alarm panel had a fault which was beeping the full time we stayed and not fixed. Concerning. It's fine. It's a premier inn. For all intents and purposes you know what you're going to get. But please make your staff aware that if they run a hotel near an ICU they need to communicate with compassion and patience. And that if you are offering a lower quality room with barely any running water, you owe your customers a partial refund because it is not as described.

I must highly recommend the Premier Inn at Hastings. Even though there was some work going on,they went out their way to make things pleasant. I had a bit of mix up and I confess that it was my fault , A Receptionist did all she could to put things right with no fuss or bother. Some day I hope to go back,Oh I forgot to mention that on the day of my arrival I was very tired and one of the Receptionist understood and made booking in easy for me.

We had a lovely time and the reception staff were warm and welcoming and very friendly to me and my family. The breakfast was a little bit over crowded but it was worth waiting for as the food was beautiful overall if you are looking for a nice hotel I pick here 5 stars
