What a wonderful little place on the mid north coast! Hat Head Holiday park is well maintained with wonderful management. The park has the most beautiful creek that wraps around the park and a beautiful beach to go with it. The little bowlo next door has lovely cold drinks and food, and is so close which is a bonus. We will be back

Right near the beach and river, easy walk to the bowlo or general store for meals or drinks. NB: on a Monday and Tuesday there are no hot meals available so make sure you get prepared food or stuff to cook for those days. Clean facilities, good pressure in the showers - it would be good to have an extra hook in each stall as there is no curtain so it’s hard to avoid your clothes getting wet. Plenty of birds and even kangaroos visit. No unpowered sites, and some have gravel so request a grass one if possible unless you have good ground cover

The park was booked in April 2024 for December 2024. This was under one name but they wanted names for each site. one couple told the park to take their name off but not cancelled the site but the caravan park did this anyway, but to make things worse it was the middle site of three sites. Go figure they all had the same surname, not rocket science and no contact with the actual person who booked all sites. Then we were told that it was too dangerous to have two cars on site, but ok for caravan and car. Caravans are a far higher fire risk than a car with stoves, lithium batteries these days for solar off grid, gas cylinders etc. far more riskier than a car. We had to park our car outside of the park. Also dates were still stuffed up by them, we changed the booking till the monday, but they still had us booked till the tuesday for some reason. No refund for the change of dates which we didnt organise. Water pressure for toilets was shocking and most of them broke down over the weekend. codes worked only half the time. Our family has parked there many many years and sadly to say this was the most dissapointed we have been. Rule changes were not advised during the 6 month booking period also. The area is wonderful but we wont be returning to the park, Will book the national park camping area.

One of the most beautiful parks to stay in. Close to nature and the ocean. The staff were friendly and helpful. There are plenty of things to do especially if you love the water. It is central to bigger places like Kempsey and South West Rocks and other smaller communities are just a short car ride away. The only issue we had was that the water hose on our van was not long enough to reach the water outlet. Other than that it was fantastic!

We had an amazing couple of days at Hat Head. This park has an incredible location, tucked between Korogoro creek and the main beach. There are some great walks over the headlands too. Incredible fishing, kayaking, swimming and the river is kid friendly. Amenities were plentiful and spotlessly clean throughout our stay. The girls in the kiosk were incredibly friendly and helpful and stocked everything you could possible need. Plenty of variety in sites, including shade and sun.

This is a great park in a terrific location with a beautiful beach at your doorstep. The park is large and the caravan sites are a good size. There are a couple of amenities blocks situated around the park. Also at the office you can buy essentials if needed. Otherwise there is a general store within walking distance.

We stayed on a powered site which was a good size (pet friendly) and they have a few amenities blocks available throughout the park with key pad access including laundry and camp kitchen (observation fridge, toaster, microwave didn’t use the kitchen) all well maintained. Park has the river one side and beach on the other. River on high tide is filled with fish and low tide there were soldier crabs. High tide good for kayaking and paddle boarding. Also has a play ground which also had a basketball hoop. Staff we did see were all very friendly and approachable. Their reception is well equipped with the basics to purchase but there’s also a general store up the road (less than a 10 minute walk there) Also the national park is a short walk way (no pet’s aloud) The camp ground was busy with traveler’s but you wouldn’t have noticed it was so quiet and everyone so friendly, we had a great stay and great wait to return.

We had a powered caravan site. Site was very room and easy to park van. Access to the river and beach is only a short stroll away and both are just gorgeous. There is limited phone reception, enough to make a phone call. We were there to enjoy our surroundings and not scroll our phones.. It’s disappointing hearing the older campers (neighbouring caravans) complain about families camping and noisy children laughing. I think it’s a beautiful noise to see and hear people living life..I’d sooner hear laughter then their whinging. This has definitely become one of our favourite places. Thank you
