My first experience in a ryokan and it was through the roof. Perfect service, awesome dinner and breakfast, clean and spacious room and an amazing onsen. The price is quite high but still lower than some other high-class ryokans. It was totally worth the price!

There is a minibus at the ferry. The hotel is right at the entrance of Hongye Valley Park. There is a stream garden at the door. Next door is the free bus to the park cable car. It takes only 3 minutes to walk to Itsukushima Taisha Shrine. It is very suitable for elderly and children to stay. The hotel has a long history, and the walls are covered with photos of celebrities. You can also encounter deer when taking a hot spring bath. The staff is enthusiastic and English is OK. Most of the guests are foreigners and elderly people. Don't worry about staying there~ Note that you can't wear a yukata to Itsukushima Taisha Shrine!
