On arrival all looked great. However there is building work going on. On one floor there were dirty footprints and men walking along corridors with wheelbarrows. Pool area is tired with lots of lights not working and hanging by the wires. To get into central Havana a taxi is €25 one way which is eye watering. Not much in local area. Staff are very friendly though. Hopefully when work is finished this hotel will fulfil its potential.

We booked through tui. The hotel room was great, always kept clean and we had nice views of the church and sea. The let down was the other areas of the building. They were obviously doing some maintenance, we saw fans off walls, shabby corridors, only one lift was working. The pool area was dirty. The other let down is the food, we once paid for an evening meal and the staff encouraged us to have the buffet. The food was not nice and covered in flies they then sold it to us for €50! Breakfast was 'ok' but still too many flies and no air con. Even if we wanted to order snack they tried to encourage us towards the buffet. Ok hotle to stay in, but would definitely eat else where. The large bottles of water were also very over priced. Probably wouldn't stay again.

I arrived here on the 24th op April and I will leave on the 20th of July. I changed 3 times the room due to unavailability (my company wasn’t bookings early enough) so I can say I have some experience with the rooms. They are spacious enough (it’s an executive room) with very nice bathroom and good air conditioning. This staff is friendly and trying to help you (speaking Spanish will help you). The breakfast buffet is really amazing. Splendid swimming pool with 4 basins and a lot of sun beds. The night buffet is also very nice. The wifi is running everywhere and some cut off could happen but rarely. I didn’t know this hotel and the stay was booked by my company travel agency so I was reading the negative comments before to come. And I will never that there are not true but during 3 months I was not experiencing any of the described inconvenience. I will come back here for my next stay.

Stayed here with friends while visiting Havana 11th September to 14th, unfortunately the pool was empty and after walking around Havana in 39 degrees all we really wanted was a dip in the pool, we asked if we could use a pool at another hotel unfortunately we were not allowed to do this. There was building work going on outside and on the 4th floor where our rooms where there was rubble cement and dust everywhere, we only had breakfast while staying here and it was ok compared to our next hotel the food was good and you don’t go to Cuba for the food, for us not having use of the pool was very disappointing, my room was clean with good air conditioning unfortunately my friends room the air conditioning didn’t work

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel the last September 15, I was there for the whole weekend with my girlfriend, we had and amazing experience for the price we paid , good attention, wonderful attitude of all the staff working there, all very professional, we felt very comfortable, I recommend it.

Breakfast is pure, no hot water in bath, bugs in swimming pool. Personal does not speak English. Notwithstanding these facts, I would never leave a negative review, if not for the last day’s situation. We asked a reception guy (or it was a guardian) to order a taxi to the airport. The taxi was late and I was getting nervous. When the car arrives I was furious - the old trough which has no air condition, no enough room in baggage. Imagine a family of 4 on the back seat of a small car, with our luggage in front ! It was neither pretty nor vintage, I have seen new and old cars in Cuba, this one was just not suited for family. What is even worse , this car had no taxi license, therefore he could not get close enough to the airport entrance, and we had to walk with our luggage and small kids from parking ! At the same time, price for this ride was even more that we paid for normal car on our way from airport to hotel. I Believe a decent hotel should have some sort of connection with regular taxi service, it cannot be the case that this was the only option to ride to the airport.

My baseline to rate the hotel is Cuba itself. If I wanna compare it with hotels in my country, I would give it 2-3 stars, but I gave it 5. We got a suite witha double bed. The room was clear, the ataff were friendly, the air conditioning in the room was OK. You could takw shower with warm water and the room had a TV, table, chairs and two towels. But, There is no electric kettle in the room, you have to pay money for drinking water double the price in the city, the plugs are not compatible to canadian plugs and you could plug type A, not type B (220 v). The breakfast items didn't have tags on them, and not many non-meat options available (ignoring bread!). The cups in the restaurant were smelly that I guess was because the detergent were not strong enough. All in all, if you kbow Cuba, then you would find the place acceptable and good.
