Boutique Hotel Vapor 156

The hotel is small, and its location is right in the heart of the Cuban people. We only had breakfast(very home style) because we were out all day long. The main eating area is in a nice open-air courtyard between the bedrooms. However, covered dining areas are also available if needed. All the rooms have AC and plenty of hot water but no AC in the main lobby area. We didn't lose electricity while their because the hotel is in the same electrical grid of the local hospital. Yes, we will be back, the employees are great!

I just got back from this wonderful boutique hotel. From the moment my husband and I arrived, we were treated like family. I suffer from many allergies and was worried that it might be difficult to get a good meal. The chefs prepared more food than I could eat most days. The staff was proactive and took care of my needs and requests before I even had a chance to ask. A well decorated gem in a very convenient location. Thanks to Jorge, Vanessa, Eduardo, Adrian, Lia, Jesney, and the rest of the team. I celebrated my 52nd birthday and the team made me a most wonderful apple pie that they presented to me while singing the birthday song. The atmosphere was so inviting that many guests checked in with each other on a daily basis to see what adventures they had for that day. If you want a visit you won't forget, plan to stay with this team!

We were two couples and stayed here for several days. The famous Nacional Hotel the Maracon and a good restaurant are just 5 walking minutes away. The old town about 20-30 minutes. While the neighboring buildings and the access road are in desolate condition, the Boutique Hotel Vapor 156 was recently renovated inside and out. It is clean, comfortable, cosy. Jorge, the manager, is an exceptionally friendly and accomodating person. Knowledgable, a clever organiser and someone who really cares for his customers. This positive attitude spills over to his helpful team. If we were to visit Havanna again, we would want to stay at this priavte hotel again. It was a fun experience.

This is a fantastic property. From the outset Jorge was attentive and helpful.. The hotel could not be better located. Room was clean and cool.. Hotel is a beautifully restored house.. The breakfast was good and the staff was wonderful.. I have stayed at several places in Havana and would recommend the Boutique Hotel Vapor without any reservations.

I usually don't write here anymore because Tripadvisor got a bit too commercial recently. However, the Vapor deserves a mention because it is a very exceptional place in this morbid chaos called Havanna. Cuba is not in a good state after the Covid crisis and half a century of American embargo. But the Vapor is striving to cope, no matter what. You will find a tastefully designed mansion, full of antiques and a lovely staff will take care of all of your needs. Especially Jorge is a well of information and lends a helpful hand whenever needed. For us, the Vapor was a peaceful island in the stormridden sea of the real "Old Havanna".

Truly a Boutique Hotel. Great location and central to everything. Well furnished with lots of attention to details. Breakfasts were exceptional and included in the price of the room. Jorge and his staff were exceptional hosts in making you feel right at home. My husband and I have 45 years in the hospitality business and would recommend this property to anyone visiting Havana Cuba

What a gem! Not in a tourist area - a surprising lovely small hotel. I could talk about how interesting the decor was but most importantly the staff there - especially Jorge and Eduardo - but really everyone, the owner as well, Alasandro - who were simply lovely human beings. lt felt like home away from home and a respite from the trials of Havana. The Cuban people have been through so much strife yet they remain remarkably resilient.

The hotel is very clean and beautiful. The location is 7/10, you can walk to great places but few options of transport. Staff is very kind, attentive and helpful, the manager, Jorge, always helps a lot by advising and reservations when she needed. The breakfast and other meals are very very great. Classic architecture and furniture are very beautiful

« The Lucas Family/Friends Group November 2023 » had the best time visiting Cuba in November 2023. We were a group of 8 family and friends. Vapor 156 Boutique Hotel was the best lodging choice we could have made. The hotel manager Jorge and his assistant Eduardo bent themselves backwards to make sure we had the best stay possible. The friendly and talented kitchen staff surprised us every day with a delicious breakfast. The place itself was the most exquisite place we could ever imagine. Beautiful setting, with colonial stylish architecture and decorations with modern amenities. Jorge really went the extra mile to help plan all our excursions and recommend the best places and shows to see. We gave him our list and he scheduled the best rides and guides for each of our visits. Knowledgeable guides made sure our sightseeing experience was the very best. Jorge and Eduardo even managed to keep us entertained in the hotel when the rain disturbed our plans one day. We left after 5 days, delighted by this wonderful experience! Thank you again for such wonderful memories! We will gladly recommend Vapor 156 Boutique Hotel to our friends.
