Very friendly staff and very helpful, and only willing to help with local knowledge and advice, restaurant was OK for evening meals and drinks

Used this hotel as its only short drive to the ferry terminal. Receptionist was helpful and friendly when checking in. Room was clean and comfortable. Restaurant staff work so hard. Jess was rushed off her feet.Working the bar, taking orders, bringing food out all by herself! Liam was the chef and on his own too. There was a wait for the food but once it came out it was spot on. We all enjoyed our meals. Jess was very apologetic for the wait but it wasn’t her fault or the chef. Breakfast was ok,not a great deal of choice for the continental breakfast. A lovely stay but restaurant needs more staff.

The hotel is fairly close to the motorway with good links to Portsmouth and the South East, making it a convenient place to stop. However, even with the windows shut you can still hear the traffic. There is nothing within walking distance and even the closest pubs or restaurants are a 10 minute drive, meaning you are forced to eat in the hotel restaurant. The restaurant has a very limited menu, is run down with poor service and absolutely no atmosphere despite the captive audience. All the food is either deep fried or slung in the microwave. If you need to stay in the Havant area go to the Permier Inn Havant South hotel instead and avoid this one if possible.

The ground floor rooms are suffering from strong smelling damp, it’s being managed with cleaning and painting over but its strong smell is very obvious. The staff are amazing and extremely accommodating, we were moved to a room on the first floor which was clean and damp free.

Good rooms but poor food. Asked if the fish and chips were fresh cooked, no, from the freezer. No fryer involved. How can you have fish n chips without a fryer. Settled for a pizza… was told it was prepared from scratch.. will wait and see Sadly in this area very few options to eat. Hence one star.

Bar and restaurant do not open until 1700h! for £230 stay id except a red carpet to the door and food and drink available all day! absolute scandal and thievery! Premier inn was always a step above a Travelodge i consider it beneath now. Personally i wont ever stay in a Premier in again unless it was the deal of the century and suited! farewell Premier Inn!

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel itself is a little tired and could do with updating. The Rusty cutter restaurant need to be totally renovated; the décor is really shabby with split seats and drab decoration. There doesn’t seem to be enough staff in the restaurant but they do a reasonable job of looking after the few customers that were in there. The food wasn’t the best, the fish was overcooked and the chicken salad didn’t contain a great deal of chicken. We only eat in there one night, after seeing the state of the extraction system above the grill which was covered in grease and dirt.

Bed was good, TV a bit dated but OK. Hotel was quiet with only a little road noise. The biggest problem was the restaurant, woefully understaffed with 1 chef , 1 waitress.. Poor things were run ragged and it impacted the service not surprisingly. If you are going to offer a service, staff it properly. Premier inns are generally V good value for money , just a shame they fell a bit short on the food and service this time. Beds are always good and that's the most important thing but need to have adequate staff to run the service properly
