The location of the Langstone is very good as were all of the staff and the breakfast, the only let down was the lack of cleanliness of our room.
Coffee mugs and glasses in the room were dirty, the horizontal surfaces dusty, the high and low corners of the room cobwebbed. The mirrors and windows unclean . The bathroom fittings etc were very tired and the bath bottom uninviting. The view of a fig tree was OK but the area around it unkempt. The beds, twin, though we had anticipated a double we’re clean and comfortable. The light above the mirror was not working.
We did ask for the room to be serviced after our first night, unfortunately only the beds were remade and the waste bin emptied. No cleaning attempted nor towels changed.
I do feel that there may be a lack of pride in the job from some of the staff but the cobwebs and dust were long standing.
Would we stay again , possibly, as on checking out we made the above comments and received apologies and a note for an upgrade for any next visit.
We had spent the previous night in a Premier Inn in Salisbury and the cleanliness there was was very good.

If you are looking for some quiet time away, this is a peacefully located hotel.
The ambience is calming, and the reception team is welcoming, not to mention the many look-out spots to watch the boats in the harbour.
I came to this hotel 10 years ago on a girls' trip, and as i was looking for somewhere to go again, i came across this hotel and thought i would mark my 10-year anniversary. And i must say nothing has changed. Having said that, i do think it's time for a renovation as the decor is becoming dated. The exterior of the building, along with the windows, needs cleaning and fresh paint. The cleaning team needs to pay closer attention to details. Also, when a room have been cleaned and locked up for some time, they need to bare in mind that it will acquire dust built up, and upon issuing it to a guest it need to be freshen up.
Overall, it's a lovely, quiet place away from the rush and hustle of london, and i would recommend it, and i will visit again in the future!

Friendly check in, room comfortable, breakfast good. Coffee machine in bar was switched off at 11pm but bar stayed open. Lovely location very nice sitting outside when sun shines.

The hotel is in a lovely location with great views of Chichester and Langstone harbours. The restaurant and reception area is 4 *, but the accommodation is only 3 *
The breakfast was excellent. Overall good value.

Lovely hotel and a perfect location. Our welcome was freindly The room was a little smelly when we arrived but was fine once ventilated. We asked for our room to be cleaned and replenished but the three nights we stayed they did not touch our room. The cleaning service was over stretched. The breakfast room was extremely busy but the breakfast was first class.
