The hosts Karen and Bart are lovely people. The property is perfectly kept and the breakfast and dinners are superb. I'm a yank and I hired Bart for a day to show me the areas of the Somme where the Americans fought in 1918. Infinitely better than any guidebook! Their local knowledge is phenomenal. If you are considering a visit to the Somme, please look them up. They couldn't be more centrally located. Highly recommend!

A friendly welcome on my arrival - the room was clean and exactly what I needed. Dinner was lovely and the company was an added bonus. A great place to stay and explore the area. I will stay here again and would recommend it to others as well. Simple and peaceful.

We can really recommend a stay at 14-18 Sommes Chambres D’Hotes in a small quiet village near Beaumont-Hamel. The hosts Karen and Bart are a very nice couple. Clean room and an excellent breakfast and you can ask Bart everything about WW1. He is an expert!

Bart weet echt alles van de omgeving en samen met Karen zijn ze zo hartelijk en fantastische gastheer+vrouw. Auto kun je prettig achter het hek parkeren, de mooiste WW1 locaties zijn binnen handbereik. Ga goed voorbereid op bezoek en kom er achter dat je slechts het puntje van de ijsberg weet. Eten is heerlijk en ontvangst gastvrij
