Swissôtel Hefei Grand Park

It's clear the designer tried their best, offering a tiny 1-meter by 1-meter bathtub that's better than nothing. As someone who's 185cm tall, taking a bath was like a circus act, soaking my top half first then my bottom half. The standard room is incredibly compact, especially the bathroom and toilet, to the point where you have to be extra careful with everything. There were a few minor issues, which the manager explained with a great attitude, so I won't go into detail. The cleanliness was good, the bedding was comfortable, and the housekeeping staff were friendly. The main advantage is the affordable price. Lastly, the backyard faces a shopping mall, and the night view, with the Ferris wheel, is quite beautiful.

This was my first time staying at this hotel, and I needed to check in very early due to an unexpected change in plans. Nicole was incredibly professional and helped me get settled, which I really appreciated! The lobby is bright, and I was happy with the room I was given. It has a window that opens for ventilation and a nice view outside. I've decided to extend my stay.

I came to Hefei during the Chinese New Year for a relaxing getaway and ended up choosing this hotel. It's not far from the train station; a taxi ride only took me about fifteen minutes. The staff was very enthusiastic, a special shout-out to Nicole, who was super sweet and always happy to help with any issues. The room environment was quite good, clean and tidy, and the view outside was nice too. The breakfast was also quite varied and really suited my taste. It's very close to Oufeng Street, so you can take some photos, check out the sights, and grab a bite to eat nearby.

Pleasantly surprised! We arrived at 4 PM without having had dinner, but the executive lounge was so welcoming and had a light meal prepared, which really hit the spot. The cleanliness was excellent too. My only regret is not getting to try the pool. Executive Lounge Afternoon Tea: The food selection was plentiful, and there were lots of complimentary drinks.

Objectively speaking, the hotel's facilities are quite good, offering high value for money. This room would easily be considered a suite in a Marriott property, but here it's just a standard room. However, I still strongly recommend choosing other hotels because the service makes staying here feel incredibly uncomfortable. Every staff member I encountered seemed to lack any smile, or even a hint of one; everyone had a poker face. I can only say they managed to 'avoid insulting or disrespecting guests,' but beyond necessary communication (like check-in), they literally ignored guests. For a specific example, when checking in, the front desk just gave me my room card and processed the pre-authorization. And then, nothing more. I was left wandering the lobby like an *****, trying to figure out where the elevators to the guest rooms were...

The room was quite spacious, just missing a bathtub. The view outside the window was lovely! The hotel offered complimentary welcome fruit and discount vouchers for Mingzhu Restaurant. The food at Mingzhu Restaurant is great value for money and highly recommended!
