Karatarakis hotels Hotels in Heraklion Prefecture

The hotel is pretty clean and modern. We found the beds to be very comfy and the hotel's location was pretty convenient near the old town and port areas. The rooms are well appointed with a couple of chairs, a work area, a coffee/tea station, big TV and a large bathroom. There were enough plugs around the room and many switches with light settings to get it just right. We appreciated the balcony and the view outside but there were some cars that drove by with very loud music each night. The only significant complaint we had was that the bathroom shower leaked very easily in our rooms and got the floor wet near the toilet. The breakfast at the hotel was pretty good with a variety of Crete foods like cheese and pastries. There was fresh scrambled eggs and a very good sausage available as well. The breakfast also had a large variety of preserved fruits that paired well with the Greek yoghurt and included oranges, cherries, grapes and figs. We appreciated that the hotel had inexpensive parking nearby at Central Parking which was 7 Euros per day with unlimited in/out privileges as long as we got a stamp when we got in. The hotel also had a restaurant that offered room service and there was a popular cafe just across the street. This hotel was a good base for exploring Crete with a convenient location near the airport and the price was very fair for us.

A beautiful hotel in the heart of Heraklion... the young, dynamic and efficient staff, from the reception to the breakfast services and restaurant on the roof, are nothing short of 10/10... At the reception (a blonde girl with blue eyes whose name I don't remember) very kind and friendly and professional in managing the city, the guys at breakfast were attentive to needs and requests (incredibly they remembered perfectly in the days following the first request) , the guys at the restaurant on the top floor are good and the cooks and chefs are exceptional.. If I return to Heraklion, it will be the only hire I will consider! Although the hotel is located in the sea, it is close to the bus terminal, the airport bus station, the archaeological museum, the castle and the most lively August 25th street. It is within walking distance. We have 3 people on this trip and choose to live in a family room. The hotel provides a lot of space, up to 35 square meters, enough to live in 4-5 people, good decoration design, The breakfast is also rich and delicious. The disadvantage is that the hotel is located in the old area. The surrounding environment is relatively narrow and messy. Because of the off-season, the hotel's top floor is not open. There are two hotels under the same area and the group. Come back next time. I want to try it.

I had a lovely 2 days stay here! The staff was helpful and friendly, room service was excellent too! This was the nicest hotel for a great price! I chose the budget room and will come back again! Also, I really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast! Cheers!
