Gooiland Hotel

The reservation we made was for a comfort room.We got a free upgrade to stay in the family room. Which was a beautiful and unexpected surprise. We have to thank your crewmember,Lucas for this.A very good crewmember;friendly and with a very good sense for service! Apart from that,we got a warm welcome by your Oekrain-Portugese crewmember. Thank you all!

When I was walking towards the hotel, I could tell the security guard was chatting with another person at the entrance. This guard was only looking at me and not even acknowledging me with a smile or greeting. This is outrageous and so unwelcoming. I would really address this with your entrance-guard, this is absolutely unacceptable. I was walking towards the hotel with a suitcase, there was no excuse that he scanned me like a criminal but not even greeted me with a nod/smile. When I was checking in, the lady at the reception was fine. Later in the afternoon I found out that this hotel is supporting asylum seekers and refugees, which I think is a noble cause, but it did come as a surprise. I believe acknowledging this during the check-in would have been a good courtesy. Good stuff: The location of the hotel is great - it's right in the middle in the city centre, close to the shopping area with some food options directly next to the hotel and also close to the supermarket. The rooms are neat, with a good working Nespresso machine, and a mini fridge, which are big bonus for me. The girls at the reception (Madelief) is great, so would like to mention her. The breakfast was extremely modest, but what can you expect for 9,50? I would not remove the breakfast facility, but maybe see if there is a way to make it a more fair range. Altogether, it wasn't too bad, but there are definitely some pointers that can be reviewed.

The hotel is very nice and stylish as it is an architectural monument of Jan Duiker built in 1936. Our family room was spacious and nicely refurbished in black, white and red. The breakfast was okay and the staff was very helpful and kind. It is close to the railwaystation of Hilversum. We had a very good stay.

The experience was worth 5 stars. The staff at the reception was very helpfull. We receiveved a drink to welcome us. The suite was beautiful with a large bathroom. Overall a very good luxurious feeling.

Our one-night stay at Hotel Gooiland was nothing short of delightful. The staff at Hotel Gooiland were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome, and their warm hospitality truly stood out. Overall, our experience at Hotel Gooiland was highly satisfying, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to fellow travelers, especially those exploring Amsterdam by car. Cleanliness, friendly staff, and a convenient location make it a top choice for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We're grateful for our time there and look forward to returning in the future.

Very welcoming hotel, friendly staff. The hotel room was spacious and beds, amenities and shower all very good. Breakfast simple but enough to choose from and fresh. Location is perfect because of walking distance to city center and parking garage. At night there was some disturbance because of guests making noise in the hall way in the middle of the night, this lasted for a while. Could not get in touch with reception and that annoyed me. I addressed it the next morning, they responded understanding, so I left with a good feeling!

The hotel is completely filled with asylum seekers. This is not mentioned on the website. All facilities are out of order for paying guests. Breakfast is scarce and served in the lobby by the entrance door. For a woman it does not feel safe, even though their is security. Everything is dated, shower does not have a door so bathroom is completely soaked. For 140 Euros per night you would expect better. My advice don’t go there.

Beautiful hotel and amazing hospitality. We booked the suite which was beautifully decorated. The staff is friendly, warm ans welcoming. The breakfast is basic but tasty and cheap. Lots of nice restaurants in the neighborhood. Overall great experience.

Stay was good as usual, only comment would be that the breakfast at present is very limited.
