Grand Prince Hotel Hiroshima Reviews

Initially i wanted to book a hotel somewhere in the downtown. But the breakfast and the dinner here caught my eyes. Also the view of the inland islands. I stayed 2 nights here, I came from Fukuoka where my plane landed. The taxi fare from hiroshima station to the hotel is about 3000-3500 yen. There is free hotel shuttle bus but i did not take it. Also, there is public bus stopping right outside the hotel (which i found out later). Though the hotel is old, it is well kept and clean. The staff were very eager to assist the guests and there is always a smile on the face. I was given the 17th floor facing east. But the morning sun was too bright. Though it didnt matter much to me. Another reason i booked this hotel is they have speed boat counter for Miyajima island. I booked one way there as I have the JR pass for return and I have plans after. One way ticket from hotel to Miyajima is 2400 yen and return is 4500 yen. There is a convenience store in the hotel. But I believe they closes at 2200. Also, there is hot spring in the hotel. There is a usage charge for it, but i do not recall the price as i did not use. I went up to the bar on the 1st night. The view was great. Most importantly the price are reasonable too. For both days, i ate at the chinese restaurant for breakfast. 1st day was Japanese breakfast set. 2nd day was Japanese buffet style breakfast. They were delicious. The western and Japanese buffet breakfast at the top floor were very crowded. But they had more selections. For my return trip to Beppu, I used the concierge (bell desk) to send my big luggage to Fukuoka. The price was okay. I took the hotel shuttle bus go Hiroshima station. It was a pleasant ride. Do take note it is first come first serve and there’s a queue. I will stay here again, should I come back to Hiroshima. Thank you.

Convenient, clean, and nice.

Good for family vacation

Staff are not friendly especially in the reception.Please train your staff to be friendly to the customers.Far from the train station,convenient stores,and restaurants.have car parking but need extra fee.hotel is quite old and nit so clean.i was expect the hotel will be clean and elegant because its a little bit pricey.view is good but from our window,but you cannot enjoy the view if your room is dirty.picture are deceiving.

Amazing hotel, specially the view just spectacular the room size was very good and the price very economical, they had their own pier to catch the speed boat to the island Highly recommended

Hotel services were good but the location is too far from the city. Its good when you have a long holiday but not for a short time traveller.

We stayed a second third night so it must have been ok 😊

A hotel near the harbour. Very nice view. A place to relax. Not alot shops around the surrounding.

WARNING: Extremely disappointing experience My stay at this hotel was a complete disaster. Despite having a confirmed booking for an additional night, I was abruptly woken up by a staff member named Higashi who claimed I had to check out. This was clearly a mistake on the hotel’s part. Instead of offering an apology, I was forced to change rooms for no reason wasting my time and disrupting my rest. I requested to speak with a manager. The person who came only spoke Japanese and was unable to assist. I then asked several times for the General Manager’s email address, but the staff kept dodging the request or giving unclear explanations. This place has nothing to do with what one would expect from an “international hotel”. The staff speak very poor English, are untrained, and show no genuine hospitality. Their smiles are forced, the atmosphere is cold and unfriendly, and the overall service is unacceptable. The location is also poor and inconvenient. Bottom line: I would not recommend this hotel to anyone – neither international travelers nor business guests. If you value professionalism, proper service, or a welcoming environment, stay away.   Gym is extra !!! 注意：非常に失望した滞在 このホテルでの滞在は最悪でした。私は確かにもう1泊予約していたにもかかわらず、スタッフの東さん（HIGASHI）に朝早く起こされ、部屋から出るように言われました。これは明らかにホテル側のミスです。しかし、謝罪は一切なく、代わりに部屋を移動するよう求められました。全く意味がなく、時間と睡眠を奪われました。 マネージャーの対応を求めましたが、現れた責任者は日本語しか話せませんでした。その後、何度も総支配人（GM）のメールアドレスをお願いしましたが、説明をはぐらかされたり、拒否されたりしました。 「インターナショナルホテル」とは名ばかりで、スタッフはまともな英語が話せず、教育も不十分です。笑顔も嘘っぽく、接客態度は冷たく不快です。立地も非常に悪く、アクセスも不便です。 結論として、国際的な旅行者やビジネスマンには全くお勧めできません。サービス、プロ意識、ホスピタリティを重視する方は、このホテルを避けた方が良いです。

Overall clean and satisfactory. Free shuttle to and from city centre every hour.

Amazing hotel and I cannot wait to go back. The view is to die for. I just wish I had checked in a lot earlier. The convenience store downstairs sells alcoholic drinks, bento and other snacks at reasonable prices. The shuttle bus is convenient but does not run that frequently so I recommend you to check it well in advance. I ended up paying around 3500 yen for taxi one way 🤣

It was one of the best hotels I ever slept in Japan. Usually, we try 3 to 5 star hotels in every local capital city. This one is of course famous Prince hotel but it is quite away from the city center yet situated in the most beautiful area of Hiroshima. From the hotel rooms we could see the skyline of the town and the sea. Breakfast is served on the top floor you can choose traditional Japanese (Nadaman/super famous Japanese restaurant) or western style buffet breakfast. With a little supplemental fee, I could go to Onsen (hotspring) and it was soo relaxing and the view was stunning. You even can sail to Miyajima island from this hotel port.

The windows could not be opened . Completely closed . But they provided humidifier which was helpful because I get blocked nose in dry air .
