Hotel Hafen Hitzacker - Elbe

The Hotel Hafen Hitzacker has nice rooms; we booked a comfort double room - and they are actually more like large apartments. A bedroom with wide, comfortable beds, a living room with a large couch and TV, a very spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower and another separate toilet. Everything is very functional, but nicely furnished. To check in/out and have breakfast, however, you have to go to the other side of the tributary - the path leads to the other side via a wooden staircase/bridge. In this respect, the rooms are barrier-free, but the hotel as a whole is far from it! Breakfast is rather simple... only filter coffee or tea, cappuccino or café crema have to be paid for extra - you can't be serious with 4 stars! There is a small selection of bread/rolls, the standard sausage, the standard cheese, jam, yoghurt and one type of muesli. The scrambled eggs, well, at least you can order fried eggs (for free!). The dining room resembles a train station hall, plastic placemats instead of tablecloths - no ambience. Normally breakfast in a 4 star hotel looks very different... by the way, there is no room service either. The attached restaurant has a small menu, but is only open until 8 p.m. and you have to order by 7:30 p.m. - pretty tight for dinner. Fortunately, there are also restaurants in Hitzacker that have "normal" opening hours. The staff are reasonably friendly, the ladies from room service are really helpful. All in all, the rooms are worth 4 stars, but the hotel as a whole is 3 stars at the most.

Nach fast fünf Jahren haben wir erneut - zum dritten Mal - das Deluxe-Doppelzimmer gebucht. Es war wieder super. Das Zimmer picobello sauber, die Betten (King-Size) top. Außer den PKW-Stellplätzen (groß genug auch mit Fahrradträger am Heck) gibt es ausreichende Abstellmöglichkeiten für Fahrräder, auch einen abschließbaren Fahrradraum, mit Steckdosen für E-Bike-Akkus. Das Frühstück im nahen Café Dierks lässt es an nichts fehlen. Das Hotel ist der perfekte Ausgangspunkt für die Erkundung der Region mir dem Rad. Fazit: Wir werden es wieder tun.

Cafe Dierks zum Essen, TOP!!! Tolle Bedienung, super Essen, tolles Ambiente. Alles wie versprochen: 4 Sterne. Wir kommen gern wieder hierher. Der 1. Eindruck war eigentlich anders::?! Teuer,4 Sterne?? Denkste, Super!!! Auch gut besucht.

Wir bezahlten für die Übernachtung mit Frühstück 146,- €. Dafür bekamen wir eine Suite mit sehr viel Platz und sehr gut ausgestattet geboten. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl. Das Frühstücksbuffet fiel verglichen mit der Qulität des Zimmers ein wenig ab. Alles in Allem waren wir jedoch sehr zufrieden
